Local theatre prices for first run movies?

  • thavoice
There are varying prices on movie theatres and just wondering what range they run.

In Celina they are all 5 dollars for all 5 screens of first run movies. they used to be 7 bucks and on tuesday they ran a 5 dollar special, and at all times they had 5 dollar tickets for students and military.

It is an OK theatre....doesnt have theatre seating but hard to beat 5 bucks!

Movies are too expensive. It's like $10 a movie around here. I just watch them for free online.

$11.50/$9.50 for matinee. Had to look it up, I haven't been to a theater to watch a movie in over a year. Last one I saw was True Grit, at a second-run brew and view.

It's 4 bones all day on Tuesday at one of the theaters I frequent. I caught Contraband at 4:50 the other day at another theater for 5.50. I think the max price at both theaters is like 8 or 9 bucks. One of them is a Cinemark and it's a pretty good theater. The other is Premiere and it's pretty decent.

I go to alliance as well. It's $4.75 regularly. I think 3D is like $7.50. Pretty good for the price.

When did the price in Alliance go up a quarter? Was $2.50/4.50 last time I went.

I haven't been to a movie theater since 2008, and the time before that was 2004.

    Hope this helps.

I was there last weekend. I dunno when they changed it.

About 10 bones. Im guessing the more expensive places are the more populated areas. 15 would almost have to be a top 25 market, maybe top 15. I know I paid 17$ in Chicago for The Dark Knight.

It has to have been within the past year. Last time we were there was over Christmas 2010 and it was $2.50.
