First Week In on Discovery channel

  • Fab1b
Anyone watch? 2nd episode was last night. Each show they show 4 inmates from jails/prison around the country during their first week of incarceration. Pretty interesting stuff. I love the jail shows, especially Lockup, it reminds every time I see one of those shows it is not a place I want to be!

    Week In.

I watched the shows last night. Pretty much convinced me that I should avoid jail at all costs if possible. It is interesting to hear those guys when they call their family for bail/bond tell their family how much they love them, then when they don't show up to get them out, they aren't in love with them so much anymore.

On last nights show I didn't believe the guy at all that he didn't remember anything from his domestic dispute. He whooped his girl's ass and was playing the I don't remember shit card to not get his ass beat in the jail!

Good point. you cannot black out like he claimed and not feel more of the effects of that in the morning.

Based on everything you have said on here, it isn't beyond imagination that your wife would control the remote in your house, so it seems pretty logical.

Back to the show, what is funny though from the previews they kinda make it look like you would feel sorry the guys a bit but then on the show when you see their crimes and actually see them outside the 30 second clip they show on the preview, no way!

1th, i do have more than 1 tv so no one controls what is watched.
2rd, I said that i thought it was mildly entertaining so the reason I wouldnt make sure to tune is because I didnt think it was that great.

Ya can stop your meady-oakre stalking of me anytime.

    Damn pre-madonna's.

I thought it was funny when the one dude got turned down for a certain program becuase he had an open DUI warrant in another state and acted like he thought that was taken care of.

And then back in his cell he told his buddy that he had too many open warrants out and wasnt eligible for it....acting all tough saying he had multiple warrants open like some badass.
  • Fab1b
Yes that funny I also thought it was funny that those two acted like "brothers or long time best friends" and they even stated they just knew each other a little bit from the streets. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do in the joint though!

Every criminal with warrants claims they thought they were taken care of. Must be human nature to respond that way once questioned.

I don't need to watch these shows to know that I never want to end up in jail or prison.

the same could be said when people come well past due on bills. Their natural response is 'i thought that was taken care or' or 'oh i thought i had paid that'.
