  Middle eastern decent is Arab or Lebonese or ,other middle eastern ethnicities . look on the globe . Detroit and the Toledo are have a very high population of middle eastern ethnic groups . They are people of color . the crime statistics in both Toledo and Detroit are very high . Detroit is close to 70% black or other . Ill check on Toledo area . I dont know what the eastside of Toledo comment was reffering too . probably more legend and less fact ,which is typical from that source

  Detroit demographics black 82.1%, white 10.6%, 6.8% hispanic, the other 0.5 is other races which include asian and two races, I did not see a figure for a huge middle eastern population in Detroit.
  
  Toledo Demographics 70.23% White, 23.55% Black, 0.31% Native American, 1.03% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 2.28% from other races, and 2.57% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.47% of the population. The top 5 largest ancestries include German (23.4%), Irish (10.8%), Polish (10.1%), English (6.0%), and French (4.6%).[SUP]
  
  So I ask what in the sam hell are you talking about? You made a blanket statement Toledo and Detroit= Middle Eastern people. What are you implying by this? Most Middle Eastern people do not live in the inner city, trailer parks, projects, etc. Which are high crime areas.
  
  My comment regarding East Toledo was a joke. East Toledo is predominantly white and it has and some areas have relatively high crime rate.

  See your comment has really no merit. In the posts that I quoted from sleeper and queencitybuckeye both of them have valid points. Meanwhile yours is based off of opinion but you haven't provide any facts that support them. Let me enlighten you a little more that will pretty much blow your theory away and support mine. Here are some statistics for the crime rates in various cities in Ohio. I will just name a few the statistics are showing that these areas are safer than a % of other cities in the U.S. So take Steubenville your fine city is safer than 7% of the cities in the U.S.

  Cleveland 6%
  Toledo 5%
  Dayton 5%
  Columbus 4%
  Cincinnati 4%
  
  One of the cities in Ohio that is deemed unsafe is Portsmouth which sits at 2%. Portsmouth's demographics are 92.11% white, 4.59% black, two or more races 2%, the remaining 1.3 is a mixture. So you see it has more to do with impoverished areas and crime than it has to do with race and crime.
