said_aouitaIf you go back to the same Tumbleweed and get bad service again, your wife will be furious at you.
It will be your fault.
Hope this helps. -
ernest_t_bassWhy have we gotten this far in this thread, and no one has cared to ask... Why the fuck were you eating at a Tumbleweed in the first place?

justincredible
Oh, you never eat at average chain restaurants?ernest_t_bass;1054942 wrote:Why have we gotten this far in this thread, and no one has cared to ask... Why the fuck were you eating at a Tumbleweed in the first place? -

Because it was right where we were and said why the hell not. My steak was pretty darn good as was everything else.ernest_t_bass;1054942 wrote:Why have we gotten this far in this thread, and no one has cared to ask... Why the **** were you eating at a Tumbleweed in the first place?
Guess I cannot be all upscale like you are ETB. -

Nothing special, but I don't think they're any worse than their competitors in the casual dining segment.ernest_t_bass;1054942 wrote:Why have we gotten this far in this thread, and no one has cared to ask... Why the fuck were you eating at a Tumbleweed in the first place? -

Exactly. It's your standard big chain casual restaurant. I'm sure etb eats at worse places.queencitybuckeye;1054961 wrote:Nothing special, but I don't think they're any worse than their competitors in the casual dining segment. -
ernest_t_bassI have a bad association with tumbleweed. It's the only chain restaurant in bellefontaine, outside of fast food and bob's. Seen some shitty things there.
Screw you all. -

Because its obvious? His wife said "I want tumbleweed" so he kissed her feet, carried her out to the car, drove to the nearest Tumbleweed and made sure not to say a peep.ernest_t_bass;1054942 wrote:Why have we gotten this far in this thread, and no one has cared to ask... Steel Valley FootballAs far as not getting that bill handled, it's your fault you didnt press the mgr to take of it. Politely, I might add.
-
Go4alOngbOmBYea I don't get why you DID NOT get a comp at least on your bill man.
I guess its just how some places treat their guests compared to others.
As for the woman who complains EVERY time they go out....I say this....PERFECT service is a rare thing, great service is what everyone should strive for. I am not in your head, and I do not know if you are thirsty or hungry, I only know that your food is running long, your glass is empty and I want nothing more than to make you happy....tell your friend...short of an under the table munch job......they do the best they can.....remember they have usually 12 other people to satisfy also. -
rmolin73First off we're talking about novoice here dude can't even stand up to his wife and has a bed time. He was worried about getting choked out at home so he kept queit.

Didnt know bellefontaine had a Tumbleweed. Go figure.chicago510;1055022 wrote:Because its obvious? His wife said "I want tumbleweed" so he kissed her feet, carried her out to the car, drove to the nearest Tumbleweed and made sure not to say a peep.
Got an email back from that link. The guest relations lady is going to fwd it on higher and said I will get a personal apology.
That will make it all better!!!!
How far should I have pushed it? After I got the bill should I have bitched more? I assumed that after what I told her, and her and the manager agreeing it looked awful, that it woulda been taken care of. I think it was up to THEM to offer me something off, and not me having to ask or beg for it. -

The more you speak about this the more I am convinced that maybe you should just eat at home and not be out in public.thavoice;1055562 wrote:Didnt know bellefontaine had a Tumbleweed. Go figure.

I've gotten things comped after the fact; a day or two later by calling the restaurant. After a few days, call corporate.
Hell, I could call right now and get your meal comped with no more info from you other than the date and location. -

Most of the time it's not a big deal, but she makes it one. She's just a bitch when it comes to eating at a restaurant.Go4alOngbOmB;1055058 wrote:As for the woman who complains EVERY time they go out....I say this....PERFECT service is a rare thing, great service is what everyone should strive for. Manhattan BuckeyeThe answer should be clear. Replace the ill-cooked food with the same or similar order, don't charge.

I think there's a segment of people that do this intentionally, knowing full-well they'll get either a free meal or a break on the bill. Send it back once or twice, then make the waitress uncomfortable by asking for a break on the bill....and then leave a crappy tip. Folks like this have no shame.FatHobbit;1054884 wrote:I have a friend who is NEVER ****ing happy when we go out to eat. I don't think she is a scam artist but she is damn hard to satisfy and I would say we get free food 1/3 of the time we go out to eat. (I would say she complains 9/10 times we have gone out.) It's embarrassing and I don't go out with her often anymore.
If something is truly wrong, then say something respectfully, but if your burger came with lettuce and you didn't ask for it, remove it and carry on...no need to remake the entire thing. That's petty & wasteful. -
thavoiceGot a call from them today and the are sending a giftcard so they are making it right!
Do not know how much it will be....anyone wanna take a guess?
