Which is what I said he was in the endzone. Blame the camera guy if you watched the video he was the chasing after Tebow and did a slide so he could get the shot. Tebow didn't tell him to follow him.

    how about......

"Thank you to the man downstairs....my lord and savior, Satan!"

Just once I want a super star athlete to say that, when they win the "most favorite athlete" ESPY award.

    __

    * What is it about Tebow that causes this cult following?
Is it his "goodie two shoes" demeanor or specifically hie believe in Jesus?
Is it his play on the field and determination shown in 4th quarter comebacks?

I can guarantee I wouldn't start multiple threads about it like you did on Tebow. I could careless if some athlete wants to do that.

Wut can I say, the fascination of Tebow is addicting. Jump on the train while it lasts, not gonna be a long trip.

    SMH...
1500 is the average sample of every polling outfit in the country. Hence, there's nothing really hilarious about it.

I don't know why Tebow constantly goes on about religion, right in front of the camera. It's so offensive. I'd rather him talk about all the bitches he's banging, act like a fucking degenerate after every touchdown he scores, then go out an get a DUI after the game. That's what I want out of my athletes.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I HATED Tebow when he was at Florida; much because I hated his gross display of constant religion before, during, and after football games(his fault). i don't like it, the fact that ESPN was all over his nuts, and because he beat my beloved Buckeyes.

With all of that being said...

The kid has won me over. I don't mind his religious beliefs anymore; if anything, I find them quite comical now; all the kid does is WIN; and he seems like he is GENUINELY a good kid with great character. Everyone has been shitting on this kid for years now and still he hangs his head high and goes out there and proves all the naysayers wrong. How can you NOT like the guy?

    Except when he loses...

    That's an oxymoron.

He's taken over all the media talk that use to be about Favre.

"What's that tell me?" Tebow said Thursday. "It tells me they have a lot of crazy polls out there. I hope people see I'm real and genuine. I hope they see that I make a ton of mistakes but that I always get back up and try again."

The guy is a straight up thug, I can see why people hate him.

lol, so now that I showed you he thanked God after losses you change it to "well, he didn't specifically thank God for each interception"? Come on, you are just plain nit picking.
  • ManO'War
He always thanks God for "giving him the opportunity", therefore he is thanking God regardless of wins or losses....not on specific plays.

    Even I get that!

wrong, never said he didn't thank god, said he didn't thank for the loss. So yes, you mixed my words. Also, what about the religious players on the steelers? why wasn't god helping them win?

religion should just be kept out of everything that has nothing to do with religion, like sports, politics, public school etc etc.

Thanking God for the "win" is 100% different than saying God is the reason you won. That is why your statement about "what about the religious players on the steelers" holds no water at all.

Your 2nd statement is just your opinion, and not the opinion of everyone, maybe not even the opinion of a majority.

I don't normally agree with skyhook, but he is right. If you watched the game the camera guys basically could have cared less about the WR who scored the TD, they were chasing Tebow down the field JUST to see him praying.

Don't blame Tebow for that, he wasn't telling the cameras to follow him.

I bet the little **** wouldnt even do it if there werent cameras around.
So every player in the NFL, and ever player in MLB, that show any religious things like praying, kissing a cross, etc are only doing it for the "look at me" moment?

    You can't be serious.

I like Tebow. He is far from my favorite athlete, but I have absolutely no problem with him. He seems like a good guy and a great teammate. I don't think he pushes his religious beliefs on anyone. If you do not want to listen to him all you have to do is turn the channel. Him praying after a touchdown or on the sidelines is not him shoving his religion down your throat anymore than someone celebrating is them shoving their dance moves down it. Either way, no one is telling you what to do or what to believe.

I also don't think it's fair for people to criticize him over his media coverage. He does not decide that. If he were to avoid interviews, questions, etc. people would be giving him shit for it. He really can't win either way.

    1. He does celebrate in the locker room and when the camera's are off. He may not celebrate like you in a locker room full of men but he does.

    2. How would you know then if it wasn't on camera?
