Will Ferrell: Best and Worst Movies

Im the exact opposite. I find Steve Carrell to be extremely repetitive in all his roles with NO difference from one character to the next. Ferrell does have some of the same mannerisms in his characters, but they are always different in some way.Dr.Pizza;1043000 wrote:I prefer ferrell in minor roles like old school. As the lead, if find him overwhelming.
My favorites...old school,night at the roxbury,elf
meh...talladega,anchorman,other guys
worst: semi pro, bewitched, that movie where he sits on the lawn.

Worst: Bewtiched. -
Raw Dawgin' itBest: Old School, Stranger than Fiction
worst: almost everything else. Not a huge fan of his, definitely agree with some other people that he can be too much as a lead role. -

Stranger than Fiction was GREAT! Land of the Lost was HORRIBLE. I'd dare even say his worst.ernest_t_bass;1041814 wrote:Just got done watching Land of the Lost. It's pretty bad, but not the worst movie I've ever seen. What are some of the best and worst Will Ferrell films (in your opinion)?

Other Favorites: Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, Old School
Worst: Stranger than Fiction

As stated above, I may need to revisit Stranger than Fiction.Scarlet_Buckeye;1044659 wrote:Stranger than Fiction was GREAT! Land of the Lost was HORRIBLE. I'd dare even say his worst. -
Raw Dawgin' itI thought step brothers was a piece of shit. I saw it in theaters with some friends and we wondered afterwards why we didn't walk out.

Movies like Anchorman and Step Brothers were just a little too over the top for me.Raw Dawgin' it;1044668 wrote:I thought step brothers was a piece of shit. I saw it in theaters with some friends and we wondered afterwards why we didn't walk out. -
wkfanOK: Anchorman
Worst: all the rest -
friendfromlowryBest: Old School, Anchorman, of course his small role in Wedding Crashers.
Worst: Land of the Lost...never saw Bewitched, but it probably sucks. -
charliehustle14Best: Step Brothers, Elf, and Anchorman. Loved Stranger Than Fiction as well. Very different role for him but I thought it was well done. And as previously stated, his cameo in Wedding Crashers was both hilarious and memorable.
Worst: Has to be Land of the Lost or Bewitched.
Talladega Nights was so-so for me. Made me laugh quite a bit, but I still wouldn't put it as his best. -

JerseyBuckBest: Step Brothers and Anchorman
Worst: Bewitched -
Manhattan BuckeyeBest: Stepbrothers, Old School, Anchorman, Elf, Wedding Crashers (hilarious cameo....Ma! Meatloaf!)
Worst: Bewitched (what were they thinking?), Stranger than Fiction (couldn't get into it, hated Maggie G's character), Land of the Lost (although Danny McBride was great) -
Manhattan BuckeyeForgot:
Best: Blades of Glory (better than expected)
Worst: Semi-Pro (a waste of 90 minutes, maybe two and a half laughs) -
bigdaddy2003I thought Blads of Glory was alright but I'm not a big Jon Heder fan.
