Think race is playing into the decisions?

  • thavoice
The discussions have been going on lately about whom should be taken number one in the NFL.

TO ME, and I could be wrong, but when they ask different analysts/experts/etc it SEEMS like the blacks say ya should pick RGIII and the crackers are saying Luck.

Is race in their subconscience coming into play?
  • gorocks99
Who's saying RGIII should go #1? All I hear is Luck, Luck, Luck. Maybe I just watch white analysts and don't know it.
  • Gblock
only person i saw say RGIII was dungy

A black guest on NFL 32 said RGIII, and a black dude on Sportsnation yesterday said RGIII, and I have heard a couple more.

and to add in a political slant....""OH, I didn say black.. I meant to say something, changed in mid word and it came out soundin like that"

Let me guess... Stephen A. Smith???

    oh the irony...

The first 7 picks last year were all Black players.

    Reverse racism. /sarcasm

    Hope this helps.

It's not reverse racism when it's the social norm, everyone knows they're better athletes...duh, we bred them to be big and strong when they were slaves!

I thought we just cared if they had good teeth or not?

Are you trying to say the only reason anyone is picking Luck is because he's white?

No. Pretty sure both were former players actually.

Also what we should plan to see that RGIII stock to skyrocket after the workouts and combine. He has gained alot of ground in terms of popular opinion and will do so more as he impresses at these events, and when people start to nit pick luck and second guess themselves.

As far as Luck goes..........I have seen him play a few times and I am surprised he was able to put up those type of passing numbers in that offense. It seems alot more conservative and conventional, and he dosnt seem to have the talent at the receivers that iw old expect to see from a QB who threw for that much.

    Because he's white?

No, because when someone is seen as the perfect pick you tend to try and find things that are wrong, and there are times when you THINK you have an obvious choice and the longer the time goes one sometimes starts to second guess themselves.

Ya see it in some years when there is one guy that everyone thinks will be the top pick. The longer it goes the more people start to nit pick at stuff, and second guess just becuase they have all that time to analyze and overanalyze.

So race isn't playing into it?

The original question being posed is asking if we think race is playing a part in it. Black experts/analysts/etc are the only ones saying RGIII is the first guy they would pick, and whitey's are picking Luck.

Just asking.......I was surprised Dungy picked RGIII because he had a Peyton Mannning, a player that many compare Luck to. He had great success with PM so I assumed he would want a guy just like him, so maybe he picked him because he is black.

    LOL. OP is retarded.

    I voted

Cool, so if Luck isn't drafted #1, we can count on more whining about how whites are discriminated against. Something to look forward to, I guess...

So race only plays into it when black analysts pick black players, but not when white analysts pick white players?
  • Ghmothwdwhso
Spook analysts will say a Spook should be taken 1st, Cracker analysts will say a Cracker should be taken 1st.
