How you know your company outsources?
-
thavoiceOUr 'higher ups' say that the call centers are in the US and not overseas and such.
I know that to be BS beucase you cannot understand the broken up english.
As proof...and this is kinda funny.....we are on hold with the call center and what do we hear in the background? Celebration and people yelling "Happy New Year, Happy New year" and the rep says she is gonna put ya on hold for a few minutes until the New Years stuff settles down!
Too funny.
So..what part of the world is 13 hours ahead of us? India? -
Curly JWe have overseas call centers and operations that I have to deal with. They are in India and the Philippines. Of course its not called outsourcing. They use the term 'off shore'.
-
ts1227We're owned by Belgians and are the only US office in our sector.
-
dlazzMy company is a local engineering firm, so we don't outsource.
-
GoChiefsBecause we have to package the product up to ship it out to them.
-
jordo212000How do I know? Because it isn't 1940 anymore. The economy is global now.
-
fortfanThey don't understand when you tell them your address is on George street. When asked to spell it they say "Oh, you mean whore-gay"

If they were speaking english in the background it is safe to say it is in the US, you may just have been talking to a foreigner that works at the call center here in the US. If they were in a foreign country where english is not the native language, why would they be wishing each other a happy new year in anything but their native language?thavoice;1032276 wrote:OUr 'higher ups' say that the call centers are in the US and not overseas and such.

At many of my jobs in the past we have celebrated holidays such as new years at work before the actual new year.
