    Eh..may check it out.

I thought it was a bit funnny, in a sick way I guess, but when I was out in San Diego and Coronado a few years ago there were signs ever 100 yards or so, ith a phone, geared towards those who were thinking about committing suicide by jumping off that bridge. Just thought it was wierd....must happen alot.

I've always thought those phones were for motor vehicles who may have broken down on the bridge?

(edit) Although their is a bridge in Tampa Bay which has solar powered phones connected to a crisis center. Specially trained counselor answers- Sunshine Skyway bridge.

Pretty sure on the signs it talked about suicide. My brother who was out there for a year or so they were for those who are wanting to jump to call in for help or whatever.

Would be awesome if Jerky Boys hacked into those phones. Someone calls crying, begging for help and they are connected to Frank Rizzo.

The signs with phone numbers on the Coronado Bridge are for suicide helplines.

    Thought so.

I have to wonder tho..is jumping off a bridge that popular of a way to off ones self?

I would guess its popular enough to have signs put up on every other light pole near the peak of the bridge...

I kinda of also meant, how effective is it? I would think if ya wanted to really end it all, wouldnt ya chose something a bit less frightening, easier to do, or more effective.

Yea....the going for distance thing has speed but this "step up" and land on top seemed like it took more skill.

Speaking of dirt bikes....any OC'ers go to Kenworthy's in Troy, back in the day? Good times the weekend Factory riders came to town.

I think there were better camera shots in 1975 when Evel Knievel jumped the buses...Nuff said.

Plus, Evil Knievel's idea of preparation was an 8-ball of coke and three blondes, before launching and crashing his Harley.
Now a days they got smart people who do math and physics. They can figure out exact angles and speeds needed to jump specific distances......all that p*ssy smart person stuff.

Was just not something I'd seen. Really looks like he's just floating at the end before reaching the platform. And going down was even more impressive - that's gotta be tough even for a stunt pro because basically driving your bike off a cliff is not remotely natural.
