Batman/Comic Nerds

Would you consider Catwoman a Villian or somewhere inbetween? My friend and I got into a heated debate about this, and I just wanted to hear what the experts had to say.
  • Raw Dawgin' it
She's like "a nat at a fucking bbq, just annoying the shit out of you." To quote bad boys 2, that's how i feel about cat woman.

She's kind of in the middle and is the hero or villain depending on how it benefits her.
  • Little Danny
Technically, she is what is called in literature/cinema an anti-hero. That is, she is a villain but does not possess all the characteristics/moral values ones identifies with a classic villian (ie. The Joker). This same term can be used for the hero who is not without flaws in their character as well (the classic example is Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name character in the spaghetti westerns).

As our moral values in this country continue to evolve, people relate to the the anti-hero characters much more than the traditional characters who wear the white or black hats.

Hahaha....the OC "pwners" are comic book derpers....
  • Commander of Awesome
Catwoman was ranked #11 on IGN's "Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time" list, ranked #51 on Wizard magazine's "100 Greatest Villains of All Time" list.

Hope this helps, or not. I don't really give a shit.

Don't own one, nor have I ever read a "hero" comic book in my life. Nice fail though.

I started a thread calling for Batman/comic nerds so I could get an expert opinion on the subject. Are you really that dumb, or you going to reach some more on your fail (cue etfail riding your dick)?

    Ha! Pwned! /tehInterwebz

Why are two grown men fucking discussing shit like this anyways? Was World of Warcraft offline for a while?

Why are you (a grown man?) trying to commit suicide? Life too tough?

Lol. You and COA are just as bad. You can't deny that.

I see you chose to grasp onto your fail. I think the better questions are:

-Why would a grown man (use that term loosely) start a thread about his mentally handicaped cousin, and talk about how big his penis is?

-Why would a grown man (use that term loosely) start a thread asking whether one would sleep with Tebow or not?

-Why would a grown man (use that term loosely) with 3 kids contemplate killing himself, and posting the play by play action on the internet?

    Please be honest. Thanks.

You aren't even on snot's side in this discussion. You have been posting all over the LOTR thread, and admitted to going to the movie by yourself. Nice fail.

Lol. I'm not sure how that even relates to "being on snot's side."

To me that's about half of it. The other half is that with multiple writers doing comic books AND with how, through history, Batman has alternated between light-n-campy and dark-n-gritty, I think that leaves a lot of leeway for the more morally ambiguous characters to be either good or bad, depending on how the current writer feels they'd best fit into a given storyline.
