I've already calculated it out. The expected value of a Ron Paul victory is positive as I expect him to lower my taxes and to grow the economy. These two actions will grow my wealth far greater than the present value of $2300, and you can take that to the bank.Raw Dawgin' it;1021659 wrote:can you say waste of money? -

Honestly?ernest_t_bass;1021646 wrote:Thavoice... Why are you still married to her? Honest question, not trolling.
I dont know.
I guess $$ for a lawyer, but biggest issue I think is the stigma of failing. No one in my family, or my cousins, have been divorced. It is pretty rare but in my immediate family there are 17 marriages I believe and zero divorces. Pretty rare but I think the whole failure thing.
It really is a struggle......a chess match as both want the other to do it. -

She brings it up ever few weeks. She tells me she hired a lawyer, and has filed for the divorce, and that she will be out soon (usually its within 2 weeks). I basically say OK, and even offer to move out until the school year is out so her daughter can finish out the school year. The annullment papers with pretty much everything we agreed upon is just sitting around.ernest_t_bass;1021730 wrote:Um, have you even bothered mentioning it to her?
and then usually within a couple of hours her attitude changes 180 degrees and she starts to talk about stuff she wants us to do in the future in regards to vacations, house upgrades/remodeling, etc etc etc. After she tells me when she is moving out, and that she has talked to a landlord about a new place and can move in on a certain date she pretty much doesnt say anything about it and acts like nothing has happened.
Basically it comes down to this.....she wants out, doesnt want to look like she was the one, and the threats of divorce are just idle threats to try and get her desired response from me. I have pretty much become callous of the threats. They used to really bother me, especially the week of her reminding me each morning that the sheriff may deliver my papers that day. (when a deputry came into where I work my heart stopped, but he wanted something else. I contacted the sheriffs dept and they had no such paperwork, and they contacted courthouse and ntohing was filed so I pretty much know she is just full of it). She just wants me to beg her not to, that is pretty much how it is going and I guess it is just something I gotta live with I suppose. -
ernest_t_bassVoice, you have a very sad situation. It's sad you're too big of a pussy to get out of it.

Raw Dawgin' itOh man a therapist would love you guys...you could probably go to enough sessions to pay for additions to his home and multiple family vacations.
Edit: Also, what did you see in her when you got married and was she like this before? -

That's the thing, I shoulda saw some it it coming. Some of it came out of left field, but some of it I shoulda saw coming.
The total flyin off the handle and her dual personalities I shoulda saw coming because she did that before. The things that I didnt see coming from her, of which i SHOULDA known would happen because it is normal from women I guess like just doing regular stuff like going or watching games with friends, or even wanting to be around friends. It took an act of God, and weeks of divorce threats, when I was wanting to work at a fundraiser with my friends...something I had done for 6-7 years in a row prior.
I know women change and the stuff that you THOUGHT they were cool about before marriage becomes taboo. I guesss I just thought it was different.
One thing I know is this about women and marriage.......the things they accuse you of being and doing seem to be things that they are guilty about doing themselves. -
LJI think the important question is..
are you ready for Christmas? -

I think I'd rather have "the stigma of failing" and the divorce than the reality of failing at life because of being trapped in hell.thavoice;1021726 wrote:Honestly?

Ya dont go from texting that ya hired a lawyer, filed for divorce, and will be out in 10 days to talking about what house remodeling we should do next summer all within 2 minutes. -
SnotBubblesthavoice.....when is the last time you got laid? I'm guessing it's been a long, long time...
-

Actually.....quite a bit the last few weeks. I am thinking that A. she was having an affair and that ended, or B. She is having an affair and found out she is knocked up and has to make it look like it could be mine or C. she is trying to trap me and getting pregnant.SnotBubbles;1021829 wrote:thavoice.....when is the last time you got laid?
