LOL, joke's on you.....there is no such sign in existence.ksig489;1015635 wrote:The only "must see" in Toledo is the sign saying "Now leaving Toledo".
Eh....while Toledo is bad; Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron and Dayton have something to say about being the worst city in Ohio.sleeper;1015760 wrote:Sorry, but Toledo is the worst city in Ohio. Toledo is also a top 5 worst city in the country. The only city I can consciously put above Toledo without a doubt is DETROIT. And honestly, sometimes, if you stick your nose out the window, you can smell the filth of Detroit from Toledo.
With that said, the Toledo Zoo is probably a top 5 Zoo in the country. I like it better than Columbus' Zoo. Book it!
Don't forget Mutz! I love Mutz!Tobias Fünke;1016274 wrote:The Attic and Table 44 are great too. -
Laley23Toledo is getting better. They are still hurt by so much of the city revolving around UT and not Downtown. It is also such a spread of a city, and lots of the stuff happens in the strip malls and even in the suburbs (Maumee, Perrysburg, Sylvania and Rossford). That hurts the downtown area and Toledo in general. Re-investing money and time to the actual downtown is a good start, and it is starting to come back which is good.

If the chinese start builing the marina district up (even though it is on the east side of the river, it is 2 minutes from downtown) and some of the other companies (Eide Investments, owns the Fiberglass tower and a company from Cleveland that owns the Berdan building) that plan on re-developing some of the historical buildings downtown, it could become a much better place. I still don't know why they didn't figure a way to put the casino downtown. I understand that highway access is better from the current location, but downtown could have used that attraction.Laley23;1016319 wrote:Toledo is getting better. The casino is basically right across the river from Downtown. Maybe a 5 minute drive to 5/3 Field. -

I understand this, but people like to be walking distance from everything. Instead of trying to find parking and driving all over. The casino is not walking distance from downtown, the proposed Marina District is.oberhaus;1016327 wrote:The casino is basically right across the river from Downtown. Benny The JetWhile in college, I spent a lot of my student loan at Bunker.

Laley23Yeah, Casino in Rossford is stupid. Should be downtown within walking of everything. Would have really benefited about every single business down there.

RocketsfanDrive East on RT 2 about 20 miles from Toledo until you see the Nuke Plant. Turn South and go about 10 miles and visit the home of the greatest high school football team in Ohio history.

Also, ten miles south of Davis-Besse puts you in Sandusky County.
The decision was made solely for I-75 exposure.Laley23;1016603 wrote:Yeah, Casino in Rossford is stupid. Should be downtown within walking of everything. Would have really benefited about every single business down there.
Now tell me, they built a casino and no hotel...so they expect people to just stop by and drive home? Asinine. They should have put in the the marina district, on the southern edge, and gotten the exposure from I-280. It makes me livid every time I pass the casino; its location is absolutely terrible. #hugefuckingfail -

Exactly what I have been saying since the decision to put it in Rossford was made.Tobias Fünke;1017867 wrote: The decision was made solely for I-75 exposure.

Laley23Im hoping they build some food/hotel soon next to it. There isnt much room, but enough for a hotel and some restaurants I think. Some franchise should buyout that Super 8 or whatever it is and build a nicer hotel. Build one that has more rooms.
