Headed out there for business for a couple of days in early January. Any recommandations on places to go, things to do, good restuarants to hit up? Would love to play some golf but won't have enough time

I was there a few years ago. Went to the Hard Rock cafe. it is what it is, but they had a guy there who played music all night. He was the single most talented musician i've ever seen. my wife bought his cd, we still listen to it. the guy didn't make it big (that's why i can't think of his name) but it was awesome. Other than that I can't say much for it. I was at a conference and spent the days in the conference and the nights catching up on work that should have been done during the day (we stayed at the disney resort so we ate at the restaurants in that area all week). None of them were bad, but none stuck out enough that i remember the names.

Don't have to go to the parks, but the "Downtown Disney" shopping area (free parking) offers excellent dining options, which includes a new ESPN Zone Restaurant. The hotels there have awesome bars if your looking to drink...The new "Trader Sams" bar at "The Disneyland Hotel" is unlike any bar you have ever been to. Look it up on youtube, there is no other place like it in America.

    Have a great trip!

I hear the girls out there are easy.

If a girl says she's not looking for anything serious and you're making out... that's a green light that she wants to hook up that night.

    Hope this helps.

We're going to be staying near the convention center, that's where all our business is going on so not sure where the downtown disney is located in comparison to all of that

Not a huge fan of the LA and Anaheim area ... if you can get away, jump on the train (there is a stop right in front of the Angels Stadium) and head down to San Diego, much better scene.

It's very close. And if you got time there are some historical site tours that are supposedly cool.

Awesome! Great hotel too...(was their with my wife in August nearby)

You are a five minute walk from Downtown Disney, in fact, you will be close enough to see the fireworks at the parks.

I'll have to go check that out maybe one night; last convention we were at we didn't have to leave Opryland (although we went into downtown Nashville one night for dinner at the Stockyard), so I'll be looking to get out and about

Loved the razor wire around the top of the fence that encloses Disneyland. Pretty much tells you everything you need to know about what Anaheim has become.
