Vegas baby!!!

Never been there, but I am looking to book a four day trip there in April. Would love to get some advice on hotels, shows, drugs and STDs.

I would like to book by Christmas and I have found a couple of good deals...like the Tropicana for 470 per person and New York New York for 495. I am trying to find something at or below the $500 price point. I found these deals on travelocity and priceline...anyone have any better sites? Any advice on the hotels would be appreciated. And I will rep the shit out of anyone that helps me.

Hit old Vegas and Fremont street. A great strip club down there too.
The light show is killer on acid.

I stayed at Treasure Island. A reasonable priced casino with a big boat outside is cool.

    Hope this helps.

Those hotels are fine, especially if you don't plan to spend much time in the room. Not a lock that it will be hot so you don't need to stay at a place with a killer pool. I'd definitely go with NYNY over Trop though.

Fremont Street is really cool. I wasn't there long but it was fun. Prices for gambling there seemed to be cheaper as well, so if you want to gamble without losing too much that's the place to go.

If you stay at NYNY then I would get a bus pass for a day to go up to Fremont, or even up around Treasure Island and The Venetian. Think it's like 10 bucks for a day, but it is definitely worth it.

Also, if you haven't been to In-N-Out Burger, it is worth whatever the cab fee is to go there and back.

Of those two, NY NY. But frankly both are on the far end of The Strip. The hotels around them are good and pretty fun, but the main action is around Paris, Ceasars, Mirage, Bellagio, etc. At least the few times Ive been there. Ive done both of these; 1. Stayed at Mandalay Bay for a bit cheaper and spent most of the time in the middle of the Strip and 2. Paid a bit more money to stay in the middle of the Strip. It is nicer to just have a room where you spend the most time.

Of course, this is all assuming you want to be in the middle like I do and not on a far end. If not, NY NY is a fun place. But for the most part the better shows, restaurants, sports books, and casinos in general are in the center.

I agree with this. It's probably about a 15 minute walk from NYNY to the Bellagio, Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Caesars Palace, so if you're ok with doing that walk a few times over 4 days then you're fine. The plus side of that walk is you can collect a shit ton of prostitute cards while walking.

I am not much of a gambler, but I do want to see some cool clubs, so I guess the nightlife is important. As for rooms, I just need a place to crash after shenanigans

    Have you tried kayak.com?

That's where I book all my flights or anything. I usually go there first, then I also check Allegiant's and Southwest's airline sites since they are never in any Priceline, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. site.

Some casino's have multiple roulette tables next to each other. Look for patterns- You see a half dozen or so black have hit in a row, go bet red. A pattern of odd numbers, bet even. Lots of low numbers in a row, bet high number. Play multiple tables at once.

Say ya bet 5 bucks. If ya lose, bet 10. If ya lose again, bet 20.......etc. You hope the pattern does not continue until you are broke.

You gotta have some money and set out some time to gamble. Even for just the experience.

That and sports betting. Only place it is legal. If you go in April you will have just missed the NCAAs, but should be in time for all the future bets. Masters, 2012 MLB Season, NFL Season, etc.

Vegas is overrated, but it is what you make of it. One word: Bottle service.

    You're welcome.

LOL....Oh, is that how odds work?

Spearmint rhino for sure. I would stay at nyny. You can buy a 3 day unlimited bus pass for only like 12 bucks and it's only busy on weekend nights. The bus will also take you to downtown/ Fremont st. In n out burger is awesome. Cheetah is fun to. I would also say you have to checkout the rio and palms which are just a little off the strip.

Opinions on bally's or Monte Carlo? Also, there is a nice deal on ph towers, but it sits in behind Planet Hollywood

The Hooters Hotel / Casino right next to the Trop will run you about 1/2 of what you'll pay at Trop or NY/NY. And its a physical fact the front door of Hooters is actually closer to the gaming tables of MGM than the rooms of MGM itself. Hooters also has alot of friendly Asian chicks hanging around.
