Sounds like the life of Billy Bean that Brad Pitt played in a movie.

I voted Star Wars but I like Star Trek just as much. I don't think they are as comparable as some would think. Star Trek is a true science fiction world, which is why I like it. Star Wars is more of a fantasy genre with some science fiction.

Star Wars like many other popular stories comes from the Monomyth pattern, perhaps taken from the Odyssey. But I'm sure that Homer took parts of his idea from someone else.

I used to loathe the old Star Treks when I was a kid, but as I got older I started getting into them...the original series that is.

Star Wars was my childhood obsession, but the 3 new movies kind of ruined the memories for me.

I was one of the 3 that voted for Star Trek.

I used to think Star Trek was boring and was for geeks. I started watching Star Trek: The Next Generation a few years ago and I was pretty much hooked.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is some of the best television I've ever watched.

Now to all the really cool guys that think sci-fi is for geeks, I challenge you to watch Battlestar Galactica and tell me that show is for geeks. THAT is probably the best dramatic television of the last 10 years, maybe 2nd only to Breaking Bad.

I thought outside of a scene or two the last Star Wars belonged close to the level of the original 3.
