The Furthest You've Ran/Walked

  • SnotBubbles
What's the furthest you have ever ran and walked, in one non-stop trip?

Ran - 1.5 miles in High School
Walked - 9 miles at 3 AM in pouring, cold rain on Saturday night when my ride left me a town away. Dick.

    You?

    Ran? Probably a mile, tops.

Walked, 12 miles at about 3AM as well. A friend and I walked from another friends house to mine when they had picked us up, leaving us carless, and then decided to pass out. So, we walked to my house to get my car. Definitely interesting. Also walked 9mi earlier this year. Had the day off in Wyoming. Went for a walk around the town. Just didn't stop for about 3.5 hours.

My longest long-run in high school was 18 miles.

Post-high school? The length of a basketball court, tops.

Longest run, probably about 5 miles I'd say. I've recently gotten back into running and trying to work up to 2 miles.

    No clue on longest walk.

X+1 miles. X being the furthest distance posted on this thread.

20 miles is my furthest. Probably do a marathon at some point in my life but right now I'm more interested in doing more Tough Mudder type races and lifting/generally being fit.

14 miles non stop for running. No clue about walking, but it's probably less. Walking is boring.

Tell me about it. Try doing it tipsy in inclement weather conditions at 3 am with nothing but black road in front of you (Route 68).

    Marathon. 26 miles 385 yards.

Longest distance walking is 23 miles, but that was a one time thing that I wouldn't normally do.

8 or 10 miles is the longest I usually walk to get from point A to point B.

One day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the end of the road. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd run to the end of town. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd just run across Carroll County. And I figured, since I run this far, maybe I'd just run across the great state of Ohio. And that's what I did. I ran clear across Indiana. For no particular reason I just kept on going. I ran clear to the ocean. And when I got there, I figured, since I'd gone this far, I might as well turn around, just keep on going. When I got to another ocean, I figured, since I'd gone this far, I might as well just turn back, keep right on going. That's how far I've ran.

Running- 3 Miles, and that was a couple years ago. Now, since joining a Crossfit gym, I do very few runs over a mile, and most of the running consists of sprints.
Walking- I did a 10.5 mile hike this summer, which was likely the longest I've ever walked.

Run:Farthest I've ran is probably about 4 miles... never been a runner.

Swim: Now I can say I have swum 7 miles straight... averaged about 5-6 miles a night will at practice in high school/college (Usually not straight but broken into sets/intervals).

Walk: I think 12 miles or so... I've done some 24-26 mile 2-3 day backpacking trips.

Bike: I've done 100 miles on the TOSRV.
