ZWICK 4 PREZWho here has been there?
Just booked our honeymoon at Couples Negril. There's more to do in Ocho Rios, but Negril is a little quieter and has nicer beaches. The resorts are about the same.
What's your favorite resort or favorite thing to do in Jamaica? -
ZWICK 4 PREZUnlimited golf (transfers and green fees included. Caddy mandatory at a nominal charge)

I've been there before, albeit several years ago. I never felt worried for my safety.Sonofanump;974942 wrote:Don't stray off the main roads. -
OSHI went last year for my honeymoon.
We went to Sandals Ocho Rios. I hope to never go back to Jamaica. We enjoyed our time at the resort, but the rest of the country was a disappointment. It felt like we were using the Jamaicans for our "good times." The poverty just was too much for me. I feel that those resorts take full advantage of the Jamaicans. We went out on the town one day...yuck, I'll be staying away.
I have heard that Negril has better beaches than Ocho Rios -- at least within the Sandals resorts. -

You might also want to not go to the following then:OSH;975094 wrote: but the rest of the country was a disappointment. It felt like we were using the Jamaicans for our "good times." Bummer. But, looks like I'll continue to go to Europe. It's nice over there. Especially continue traveling to Ireland/Northern Ireland. -

It's just a fact of 3rd world countries. Puerto Rico might not bother you as much. VI should be less impoverish.OSH;975109 wrote:That's what I hear.

AutomatikI stayed at Beaches Negril a few years ago. We had a blast, but its basically all resorts. If I went again I'd probably try Ocho Rios.

HitsRusI have never done the Zip Lines, but I here they are awesome. I have climbed the falls at Dunns River....very exhilarating experience. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee may be the best coffee in the world....goes for about $70/lb here in the states... buy it there a lot cheaper...maybe $15 or 20.
As mentioned before, stay on the beaten path. -
BigAppleBuckeyeMy advice about Jamaica:
1. You can easily get one of these things at all times, anywhere: Jerk chicken, weed and wood carvings.
2. Don't go to Hedonism III. Just don't. Old people will try to bang you and your girl, or at least eye f-ck the hell out of you.
3. When you buy weed, avoid going on a drive with the seller, especially anywhere with people with machetes.
I wish any of my three posts were sarcastic, but they weren't. haha, I really do wish there were though.
On a side note, I stayed near Ocho Rios in Runaway Bay, not sure about Negril. I hear the Marley House is cool, and actually the only place in Jamaica to legally smoke weed (fun fact!). The highight of our trip was probably venturing off the resort area and meeting some locals (and promptly ate some good fresh wish and smoked some good herb with them). Enjoy! -

I'm not sure what's more impressive... Your lack of originality and wit, or the fact you have no idea you're stricken with this disability. I suppose the saying "ignorance is bliss" truly applies to you.
