Not the best picture, but it's my Grandpa. Both my Grandpa's were in the service, along with one of my uncles. Still feel bad sometimes about not joining up.

    81 or 4 duce motar ?
I was in the 4 duce motar mechanized first in country but due to a situation (three short rounds with in the night log site and I disarmed them) I was then attached to a special unit and trained in explosive.

    I don't have pictures, but:

1 cousin in the Marine Corp
1 cousin, 2 Uncles in the Navy
1 Uncle in the Air Force
1 friend who gave his life in Iraq as a Marine.

As an employee of a VA hospital, I get to work with and for Veterans everyday, and it is a very humbling experience seeing the toll that serving has taken on so many.

My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII.

    Many uncles served, Korea, Vietnam.
Believe a cousin has been deployed in the War on Terror.
A good friend of mine just graduated from Navy boot camp and in a few weeks is headed out to California to start SWCC training I believe.
Bunch of friends from high school in the military.

Despite how much I disagree with the wars we're currently in and have been in I cannot do anything but respect and thank veterans. They're a special breed.

Just got done being the guest speaker at my daughter's preschool Veterans Day breakfast. This is the 4th time I have been a guest speaker, at different places, and by far the one I will remember the most.

My dad has spoken at the Veterans Day assembly at my school several times. Only once when I actually went there but I think he enjoys it.

If anyone sees that a man by the name of Guy Grueters is speaking I suggest that you go and listen.

(May have spelled his last name wrong).

He was a POW in Vietnam and now does some speaking engagements. We did a fundraiser for the West Central Ohio Healing Field a few years ago and it was held at a bar/restaurant. WHen he spoke for that 30-40 minutes you could hear a pin drop in that place. I have seen him on the schedule to speak at other events and I suggest checking it out if ya can.
