It seems that 37" cost almost the same as a 42" for some odd reason.Ytowngirlinfla;942082 wrote:Any experts out there. I'm looking for a LED LCD tv when I get back from deployment. I'm looking between 37" to 42", I may even consider a 32". Right now I have a little 22" LED LCD Vizio that's just not cutting it. I want one that can do the internet apps if possible. Any suggestions on brands? I'm kinda partial to Vizio but I'd go for anything that's good.
Aren't you located out around Cali? Check out a Fry's....they always have some amazing prices listed on www.slickdeals.net -

I would go with the Samsung 40'' LED. Samsung right now has the best LED and LCD out. How much are you looking to spend. -
YtowngirlinflaYeah I am in San Diego and I go to fry's pretty often. They have really good sales but sometimes adding tax and the cali recycling fee adds up.

Price isn't much of an issue. The amount of time i'll be gone i've saved up a ton of money. I'm just wanting to build a nice home theater system. I'm also planning on building a desktop to stream. I'm tired of paying for cable.Tiger2003;942146 wrote:I would go with the Samsung 40'' LED. Samsung right now has the best LED and LCD out. How much are you looking to spend. -

I would go with a Samsung then...the sleeper is the lg infinia 3d....if you want to go the 3d route. It is passive 3d, so it uses the movie theater style glasses. Reviews are good -

It is... but for my purposes, it's completely acceptable.Tiger2003;941065 wrote:Must only be 720p -

I Wear PantsYou know what you're going to go with for the desktop? Gonna go with a tower (mid or full) or go the HTPC route?

I'm still trying to decide between the HTPC and the mid tower. I don't want a huge tower. this will be for my bedroom since i spend most of my time there and my roommate has taken over the living room. The HTPC cases are nice but i don't know if the parts i want will fit into it.I Wear Pants;943037 wrote:You know what you're going to go with for the desktop? You could get a set-top box such as an Apple TV.Ytowngirlinfla;943159 wrote:I'm still trying to decide between the HTPC and the mid tower. You can flash it with XBMC and just stream stuff from your regular PC.
That's what I do and it works OK.
