This is the worst thing i ever seen

If you read the article, there was a ruling where somebody helped an old woman with injuries to the hospital. The old woman then sued the helper and won. The judge said the helper must have had a guilty consciences and made him pay her hospital bill.

By this logic anybody who helped her could have went to jail for murder. That's insane

You don't have to trust the Chinese but they sure can cook. You have to admit that. And while this is sickening some of the responses below the article are ridiculous. Atrocities like this happen daily in America with people abusing, neglecting, killing and torturing people and animals but somehow those stories that we see in very daily newspaper and every nightly newscast have escaped these Americans responding to the article. What a joke. Only buy American bc these types of things don't happen on the God-fearing u s of a. Are these people seriously that blind? I think I know the answer to that.

I dont know anything about Chinese culture and if it is true that individuals outside of ones own family are devalued then that is different. Seems wrong to me but I don't believe in some kind of absolute moral authority so I guess I can judge them but to what extent. Idk. If I quit eating their food or buying their products I will also have to move to some deserted island and live on the fish I catch and wear only the clothes I make bc the USA is fucked up in every way imaginable too. / end ramble.

I hope you aren't implying that just because it's different, I shouldn't judge?

What happened there was flat out wrong and always will be...period.

I'm not telling or implying anything you can or can't do.

I'm saying that lots of things in the world are different and seem wrong to us in the Western World. But if I start saying what is absolutely right and wrong where do I stop.

I'm not going to quit eating Chinese food bc of that, like many of the Americans who made comments below the article might suggest. Because if that's the point they try to make then I guess we'd better stop buying American too.

it actually tastes like chicken here in america.

Most of the Chinese food here in America is NOT Chinese food, it is americanized cooking by Chinese restaurants. Hell, nothing wrong with that, I enjoy some General Tsao and Chicken Lo Mein, but that is not actual Chinese food.

"I dont know anything about Chinese culture "

Yet it didn't stop you from adding your two cents, which is worthless.

I do know a lot about it, and it is a problem in China and other countries that have a lot of Chinese. There are actually "public courtesy" campaigns to teach them how to act appropriately, as in when an elderly or pregnant person gets on the bus you let them have your seat. The families/clans do not teach this. In movie theaters there are assigned seats since they are incapable of handling an open seat policy without abusing it.

And real Chinese food is nothing like American Chinese food. They eat the stuff we throw away.
