    Simpsons:

If you are talking about Bart Carny.....Chief Wiggum comes looking for a bribe and calls the game crooked. Then later Homer says you cant fool a carnie, just look at how the sucker people with their crooked games.

I don't remember there being a term for it ... I know they called unsuspecting victims "rubes" though.

Spud: Hey, they just ran into the house. That Homer fella gritted
    you good, dad.
Cooder: Well, there's no shame in being beaten by the best.
    Spud: But, he didn't seem..
Cooder: [angrily] We were beaten by the best, boy.

Is that it? I'm bored at work and figured I'd try and tackle this once and for all.

That's not what I was thinking.

I know Bart (& perhaps Millhouse) are at a local carnival... the carney is pulling some quick one over them.... and they cry (something like shenanigans) to which officer barbrady comes over and is basically like (well they called 'shenanignans' so you must have done something wrong).

    Something like that.

You are clearly mixing the two shows. In SP they do call Shenanigans. Im pretty sure thats what you mean. Chief Wiggum isnt called over in Simpsons, he just wants a bribe. In SP Barbrady basically says they called it, and then a riot breaks out.

    Wiggum. Thank you. My mistake.
  • thavoice
Ya ever think that maybe you are mistaken about which show you are talking about because it did happen in SP just as you described.
  • dlazz
He is mistaking SP for The Simpsons. No question about it, with several sources.

there is no mistaking wiggum and barbrady. you fail and should be negged to the fullest extent.

He must be mistaken South Park for The Simpsons. This is obvious. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this.

Someone needs to start a thread to hold posters accountable for things like this.

I vote for "Tomfoolery", just cause I know its been used in the Simpsons multiple times as a "sham" word.

The best way I've found is to heat it in a skillet on a stove, but I will eat it cold.
