Anyone ever take a Caliper personality test?
-
SportsAndLadyI may or may not be interviewing for a job, and i'm about 3/5 of the way through the process...4th step is taking a personality test (caliper).
Is the sort of thing that will make or break the hiring process? Do I need to do any research on these tests before I take it? What are some of the questions that will be on it?
Thanks. -

That'd be awesome, thanks. This is a huge company..they're a Japanese, this is the second "test" i'll have taken for the interview process.LJ;914769 wrote:They will take it somewhat seriously. I know a guy who is a bigshot salea recruiter, ill ask him exactly how important it is -
THE4RINGZI had to take a personality test once, I found sample questions and a test taking strategy online for that particular test. I am sure you have already looked into that, but it seemed to work for me. I am an undercover wanna be axe murderer but I got the job motherfuckers. Now with my test results in their hands I see my self being a lifer with this company.

dwccrewYou should be alright. I just took one and they notified me today that I will be getting a final interview for the job, which I'm confident I will get.

Glory Daysi havent taken this specific type but dont look for too much information. the more you know about the test the more you will try to think about what answers they want to hear. the tests are made to see those things in your answers. just go in, take the test and answer honestly. the more you try to out think the test, the more it will fuck you.

Pick6The Briggs Myers personality test is one I am very familiar with that asks obvious questions. I assume the Caliper is much like it. I have heard many employers and professors with real-world experience say that they want you to answer what they want to hear (the best answer), not be completely honest. All taking that test does is get you the interview.

many companies based on sales make you take one. It kind of makes sense.dlazz;915777 wrote:Any company that makes you take a personality test is a company not worth working for. -
Automatik
Then there are a lot of companies not worth working for. As stated, its fairly common for sales gigs and also for recruiting. I had to take one while interviewing for a position with a job recruiter. I can't think of the name of the test off hand.dlazz;915777 wrote:Any company that makes you take a personality test is a company not worth working for. -
