Fellas, what do you shave your face with?

noreply66Just trim it about once a month

OMG, it's Kurt Angle!Ankle Breaker wrote: BTW, besides a hand towel, I also take about 30 seconds with a hair dryer just to be sure.

gorocks99Fusion, and I replace the blade every month or so. No money wasting going on here
-
iclfan2Schik Quattro. I used to use the Mach 3 and liked it, switched to the Fusion and it cut me up for some reason, plus if I am doing it without showering it really tears it apart. The Quattro is awesome. Still wish I could shave in the morning without having to take a shower. It sucks!

ernest_t_bassFor the closest shave, I will use my sucky electric razor, then follow it up with a cheap three blade razor.
-
BORIStheCrusherGot one Fusion for my face, and another for my balls. Like everything nice and smooth.
-
ernest_t_bassI don't know if I would trust 5 blades around my balls.
-
BORIStheCrusherI have a steady hand, it's an art one must practice over time. Start out with one blade and move your way up; like karate.
-
j_crazyfusion for me, but the wife is pretty good a t sniffing out deals. I'm pretty sure the last batch of cartidges were 1/2 off.
-
JTizzleMach III like the fusion just too much damn money, thanks Tiger damn endorsements.
-
Swamp FoxI had a pretty nice electric razor and I used it for several years until one of the heads got a small whole in it and it grew to the degree that it would assault my face when I shaved, so rather than bleed to death from the gouges it was taking out of my face, I switched to a cartridge razor and it has worked fine. I could buy a new electric razor but I've gotten used to the "old fashioned" razor.

Strapping Young LadBust it down with an electric, then hit with a two-blade disposable, everyday. If you're getting razor burn your razor has too many blades....
-
Glory DaysMach 3 Turbo here. Electric razors dont have the power or cutting ability to cut through my beard.

...and then I shave afterwards -
BigAppleBuckeyeUntil August of this year, I had been using Mach 3 Turbos, but I switched to an electric Braun Series 7 ... let me tell you boys, its a life changer. While expensive (around $250), its quick and it has eliminated all razor burns and in-grown hairs. Love it!

iclfan2Is it as close as the Mach 3 was?

That works better than leaving it wet but the best way to extend the life of your cartridge or safety razor is to leave it in mineral oil (baby oil works too) after you dry it. It keeps the minerals in your water off the blade(s) and keeps the water from causing oxidation.Ankle Breaker wrote: Some FYI for you cartridge users out there.......a money-saving tip. Those little boogers are pricey.
I have used cartridges for years. Replace them every Sunday after 6 or 7 shaves. After that, they began to scratch and/or cut. My wife heard a man on the radio claiming to only buy two cartridges per year. He claimed that by drying the cartridge off every day just after shaving - that the blade wouldn't deteriorate or corrode nearly as fast.
I started this two weeks ago and am on my 12th shave, same cartridge and it feels like the first day. I'm just sayin'.....
BTW, besides a hand towel, I also take about 30 seconds with a hair dryer just to be sure. -

Not as close, but the difference isn't much at all. And its quick, not messy, just 3 minutes or so before I jump in the shower, no nicks, no bumps, no in-grown hairs. Love it.iclfan2 wrote: Is it as close as the Mach 3 was?
Lots of reviews here, and I see the price went down a bit (now only $199):
