Every day it's in the store costs money. The cost of an item is more than what they pay to get it.bigkahuna;875968 wrote:I've figured that out by watching the show. They low ball people by a BIG MARGIN when they buy and opposite when the sell. Obviously they're trying to make money, but their border line crooks. -

I don't fully agree with that.queencitybuckeye;875996 wrote:Every day it's in the store costs money. The cost of an item is more than what they pay to get it.
Buy it, put it at a fair price where you're still making a good profit and move it. If something is worth $175, don't try to sell it for $250+ especially if you bought it for $50. -
Steel Valley FootballI would not call doing a commercial "jumping the shark". In fact, it's the wrong term altogether. The correct term would be "selling out", ala Bob Seger w the chevy truck commercials. Though, Pawn Stars is a TV show, which by it's very nature is already commercialized.....so what's this thread about again? LOL. You don't like show?

Yeah, their carry costs are pretty low these days given where interest rates are. The bigger cost is the issue of floor space and insurance. But of course something that sells for $175 needs to be priced higher as most savvy people should negotiate the purchase price just like they do. If someone doesn't realize that is only the "suggested" price, then the old saying of a fool and their money applies.bigkahuna;876162 wrote:I don't fully agree with that.
