I Wear PantsI'm there for the week, anything interesting?
Zanesville was tough on me last week for all of you biting your nails wondering how my life is going. -

I got excited for a second, and then i realized you were probably talking about the wrong Wellington. -
Manhattan BuckeyeIndeed, cbus4life and I live where Wellington means NZ, and you don't go to any place for a week. You make a 7 -12 hour flight mean something. Haven't made it to NZ yet but I've spent quality time in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Flying lets you catch up on reading. I read all of George R.R. Martin's Ice and Fire books in two and a half weeks.
As for Wellington, Ohio, I think Fan from Texas might have some suggestions. -

I thought the same thing. I didn't know there was a Wellington in Ohio... -
TimberShould have nailed some Tom's Ice cream bowl in Z'ville.... one of my faves.

BR1986FBI grew up right down the road. Not a lot going on there but it's been years since I've been back. The last time I frequented Wellington, the big "hangout" was a bowling alley. As mentioned, FFT can give you a better lowdown.

THE4RINGZThere used to be a neat little museum in Wellington, Ohio. I think it was called The Spirit of '76 Museum. It isn't the Smithsonian but it is something to do there.
-
Con_AlmaIt's County fair time in Wellington.
-
bigdaddy2003I live about 11 miles away from Wellington. There isn't anything going on there. People who live there generally have to go to Elyria to do anything fun.

I'm not sure what you like to do or what you have time to do but Elyria would be your best bet. Wellington is simple. Basically fast food and a couple pizza places. -

Does "drive somewhere else" count as anything interesting? -
Con_Alma
Yeah, I'll let you figure that one out. It's a frat house at Oberlin College.bigdaddy2003;870097 wrote:BUG house? -

Ah ok I kind of figured that is what you were referring to but wasn't sure. I'm not a huge fan of Oberlin. I actually hate driving through it. -
SonofanumpIs the Goodie Barn still open?

You can drive around it very easily. -

And I do drive around it but I have friends who don't drive around it. -
I Wear PantsTurns out I didn't stay in Wellington where the fair was but rather in Amhearst.

Much better. There is nice Italian restaurant in town and a few nice bars.I Wear Pants;876244 wrote:Turns out I didn't stay in Wellington where the fair was but rather in Amhearst. -
bigdaddy2003Yeah, Amherst has a lot more than Wellington. Still not much to do besides go out to eat or have some drinks but they do have a Chipotle!
-
I Wear PantsI stayed literally across the street from that Chipotle. But I had to leave for work before they opened and got back from work after they closed. Was really depressing, almost gave one of the desk ladies at the hotel $10 to go get me a burrito while I was at work.
