Flight to Europe...buy or wait?

  • Automatik
I'm planning a trip to Denmark in late October.

I've been tracking flights for about a month now. When I started a round trip was between $720-$780 round trip. They are now down to $680. I don't know if I should pull the trigger and buy or wait it out longer. I've been tracking on a few sites, but Bing is usually my go to, and unfortunately you the price predictor doesn't work with flights from NYC to Copenhagen.

Just curious as to what others think. I really don't know the flight cost patterns....to they usually rise or fall during this time and into the Fall?

I always hate waiting. Not sure if this helps, but I just plugged in JFK to CPH on Kayak for 10/17 - 10/31 (I'm not sure when or exactly where you flying to/from so I guessed.) and I found a flight for $665

    10/20-10/30

Kayak is where I found the lowest so far.

Agreed. Always call and complain later to get the difference, or book through orbitz.

Are those dates set in stone?

Gotcha. I still see $681 with Finnair.

    Good luck!

If it goes below 700,you better jump on it.

25 hour total travel time on the return lol

I actually made that mistake on my way back when I was living there. I just bought the cheapest flight and ended up with a 15 hr layover in JFK.

Fuck it I just booked for $727....I got the price assurance from Orbitz if it drops. Anyone ever deal with that?

Newark to Oslo, Oslo to CPH.

Direct flight on the return sealed it.

Monday and Tuesday morning is the best time to check flight prices.

I've heard that before. I also heard that flying out on a Tuesday is always cheaper or something like that?

My friend who is coming with me is choosing to wait. So we'll see who made out with the better deal. I'd like to see it drop like a $100 and Orbitz cut me a check. I wonder how often that happens?
