Yeah. I agree. I would have been like... you didn't fucking answer my question bitch... where the FUCK are you FROM!

Ha it's a minor detail but for some reason her answer bothered me.

A hot ass bitch can't come back from fire, but aliens can attack earth?

    GTFO.

Why can't people ever understand that there's a stretch, and then there's too far. I'm always amazed at how easily a concept like that is lost with people.

She was an alien from another planet with the ability to heal her hosted body. It's a Sci-Fi movie.

I'm always amazed at how people can't let go of reality when they take in a MOVIE that ISN'T realistic to begin with.

There was a sweet preview for a movie called 'Battleship' coming out Spring 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B3moWiI_J4

    Rather watch this...

Same lawyer that bailed out the "free huddle"? If so, kudos.

No. It's like you went to see Star Wars and in pops Jesus himself. Or you go to see Planet of the Apes and mid-way thru the movie pops in Wolverine & the X-Men. You're just left scratching your head and saying "WTF?!"

I know I'm seeing a Sci-Fi flick... so I know there's going to be some non-believable stuff that I'm meant to believe, but in the viewers mind, you still need to hold certain "boundaries."

Saw it this evening, for what I was expecting, I loved it.

They shouldn't have done the scene where she comes back to life. They easily could have had her just sit up or something while she was in there. It's a stretch because it went from alien movie to spiritual movie and you shouldn't mix those so randomly. That scene alone makes it a 3/5 instead of a 3.5/5.

I thought it was very unique and Craig's acting was terrific. Ford's was very solid too. I didn't think the script was too cheesy like the critics said, I thought it was pretty close to perfect for what the movie was.

A few lighter criticisms: they didn't need to go with the cheesy Hollywood deaths, let alone twice. Show me someone actually dying in pain and agony for once, Jesus. Also, there probably shouldn't have been swarms of aliens. They sometimes were essentially bulletproof and then sometimes make of kittens. It's one of the other. Give me ~10 aliens that are super hard to kill or ~100 that are easier, Farveau didn't pick.

A few tweeks and this one wouldn't been a classic, that was the worst feeling I had. There aren't many opportunities these days with such unique concepts.

Now if only someone can give me an alien movie with some Romans, or perhaps over St. Petersburg in the 1600's or something. There's a ton of room here for great sci-fi.

This. That ruined the movie for me. Other than that, everything else was pretty good / what I expected it to be.

As far as the "stretch" comment, don't tell hoops23 that. he'll call you an idiot. Or at least he did when I tried to make the very same assertion you did.

Agree again with the ~10 or ~100 comment.
