Car Won't Start...

I Am AhabCar won't start, jumped it still won't start. Got a new battery, no go (it's not actually my car but a friends).
In other words it's not the battery. So on to the starter or starter solenoid? How do I test to see if the the starter or solenoid are good? -

Could probable use a voltage tester.
Also, if the engine is turning over but not starting it could be your spark plugs with means it's time for a tune up. Also, you probably have flooded the engine trying to start it by now if it's not a battery issue which means unless you take it to a mechanic you probably won't be starting it yourself. -
I Am AhabCan I pick up one of these google devices at auto zone?

Ironman92It won't be long we have dozens of experts on here...... But they'll actually know this one.

I Am AhabAlso, I got no turnover, no click, nothing. I wanna check the starter first but don't know how.

AutoZone usually carries repair manuals for a lot of different cars which are really helpful. I bought one for my car and it pretty much walked me through how to do a tune up. If it's not turning over then it could be the starter. An animal could've gotten into the engine too and chewed threw wires so check for that too. -
Pick6If your battery wont hold charge probably the alternator. If not, could be the starter. My guess is alternator though

You can jump it but it will usually die not long after you take the cables off. -

Lol... I was going somewhere with it. -
4cards...I agree with Belly, check to make sure the wire is connected at both ends (starter & battery). I'm not sure of the make/model of your car but at one time so cars had a "fuseable link". It was a a fuse that was in the cable that runs from the starter to the battery and if it blew, you couldn't start the car due to no juice getting from the battery. There was also no lights, no power windows, nothing.
