Insidious

I never saw this movie in theaters so I went and bought it at midnight last night. I heard so many things about this movie being "crazy scary". This movie was awful. It went from being a pathetic Exorcist knock off to being some sci-fi bull crap towards the end.

Did anyone really like this movie? Or God forbid get scared while watching it?

    Kids probably wrote the reviews.

I liked it. Ha it wasn't crazy scary but there were parts that made you jump in the theater. To each their own I suppose.

I actually just rented it this morning.

I enjoyed it. Got a little weird at the end but overall I didn't think it was too bad.

I liked Shocker. Decent dumb fun movie. I'd call it horror, but it was more a spoof of horror than anything particularly scary. Probably wouldn't be so good if I watched it now; it was more of a pure 80s deal.

Just finished watching it. It was definitely weird, and not that scary.

No movies are really scary anymore but there were a few parts that made me jump at the theater.

There's some movie comin out that looks freaky as hell..benicio something is the director. Bout a family moving I to a haunted house...don't be afraid of the dark or something like that

I really liked it and will likely add it to my horror film collection.

Yeah, I saw the trailer when I saw Insidious. The guy that directed Hellboy is the director. Don't be afraid of the dark is the correct title.

Agreed, there was a part that made me jump too, but I don't give that too much credit. Any movie can make you jump. The movie was and wasn't unique at the same time. It started out kinda redundant - family moves into a house that has a haunted history and they suffer the effects of it. It looked and felt a lot like Paranormal Activity, but I guess it was the same director (or something alone those lines) so that's not too surprising. But it eventually takes a different approach with the kid in the coma and the out of body experiences. I liked the very ending with what happened to the husband, but before that it was kind of corny.

Understood. I didn't think it was the best suspense movie ever or anything but I liked it enough to buy it.
