Live inland in North Carolina, it still gets real hot here. It's been over 90 since the beginning of June except for maybe 4-5 days. The winter was nothing. Two months of average highs at 40-45 degrees. Maybe 1.5" of snow if that. In Charlotte you'd be a 2-3 hours to the beach or mountains. Plus the city is growing and straying from the banktown mindset. Duke Energy is becoming a powerhouse, nuclear and IT/Data Centers are also some growing industries.
Plenty of Ohio transplants to make you feel at home but without all the nasty weather that Ohio brings.
