This is going to hurt now .. and also later

Well, friendfromlowry, you're certainly not alone when it comes to family history of heart problems. There's a lot of things you can do to try and keep your BP down, but if it's genetic pills will still be required. Hope you keep it under control. We can all live with bum knees, tore up elbows or shoulders, or crooked backs. But, sadly, you can't live with an exploding heart.

Yeah, I didn't even mention my back problems. Hurt my back working construction. Screwed it up really good. Lot of pain. And anyone who has had a back injury, the pressure in my spine when I tried to stand up straight felt like an elephant was resting on my shoulders. Then, it slowly got better over the next year. Then, two years ago.... sciatica. Horrible, horrible, horrible pain. It felt like somebody was hacking away at my hip with a steak knife. My wife HATED me whenever I'd sense pain because I'd scream at the top of my lungs every conceivable curse word all to try and take my mind off the pain. Luckily, I got through it with the exercises to strengthen my back (as well as deal with the slipped disc causing it), and didn't need anything more than a case or two of ibuprofen.

Jeeesh, yeah see that stuff sounds so much worse than knee issues. For example if my knees hurt, i can simply kick my feet up and ice em for a bit or just stay off of them. If you have a back injury tehres almost nothing you can do or no way you can lay or sit that doesnt have your back spasming and hurting

I was built pretty well. Not too many injuries considering I wrestled and played football when I was younger. Senior year of high school had a slight crack in my collarbone. Being young and arrogant I decided to only take a week off and get back at it. Every now and again, if I am lifting, my collarbone gets agitated in the spot I cracked it all those years ago. Other than that, I don't have too many aches or pains but I am only 28.

At least 3 concussions that I remember from high school football. Maybe 4 or 5, I'm not completely sure. I'm only 21 and I feel memory effects already. Not good. I also feel a little arthritis in my wrist I've had surgery on from high school too.

i always made fun of people who had back injuries (always thought they were faking it) well 2 years ago i strained a muscle in my back catching a runaway grill and i would've rather died. such a bad thing to injure, you don't even realize how much you use your back. reading this makes me think of my (significantly) lesser injury and I cringe.
