Lord Of The Rings are great movies with a great story.

What I get from the trailer is that he is physically in a pod back at the base while his avatar is running around the planet fighting them. I'm having a hard time believing someone wouldn't just put a bullet through him in the pod and the fight would be over.

If that's the entire plot, then this will probably be a bust. But I'm going to see it anyway.

    Yeah, that's true.

"Boss, you know that agent we have on their planet in an avatar body who's in our virtual reality pod? He's betrayed us and gone over to their side! What should we do? Execute him as a traitor or......just wait and see how it all plays out?"

"Well, lieutenant, while all indications are that he is 100% on their side, he still might be just trying to infiltrate them to give us more info. Sure, all of his advice is leading us into ambushes, but I have a feeling that any time now, he'll hand them over to us. Let's wait...."

And the movie world has its Ishtar for a new generation....

Will it be a bust for how much money it makes? I doubt it since it will make a ton of money over the holiday break because people go see a ton of movies during December and early January (trust me, I know).

But will it be bad, that is debatable. I will see it since I see a ton of movies but I am not going in with huge expectations. I had big expectations for Transformers 2 and that was the worst movie I have seen this year so I am not holding my breath on Avatar. Although it could end up being good, it comes down to the story and acting and whether it's hokey or seems realistic.

I think it looks awesome. It cost a ton of money to make, so in reference to net gain, it could be a bust. But it will have some big opening night/weeks imo.

I think it looks really cool. I will probably watch it on the computer after its released.

Knight, was it really the worst movie this year? Did you miss Dance Movie or whatever it is called.

I think it looks terrible. Big bust. Will do good the opening weekend and then it will bomb.

Zombiekiller - Well I knew that would be bad so I didn't see it. Now had I seen it, it would probably be at the top. All of those movies are awful.

Wow....ummmm....again, before Titanic came out it was like "the ship sinks! lolz!" yet it still made over a billion dollars.

I don't think it looks good and the trailers have been underwhelming, but it is James Cameron and when he puts his name on something, it usually does very well...

    Titanic, Terminator, Aliens, etc...

But, I won't be seeing it.

Most of the highest grossing movies have been special effect movies.

    This will be huge.

Watching a thing on HBO on it right now. Looks preeettty slick.

I enjoy a good story. Ill be seeing it.
