Do you use Store Discount cards?
-
AppleI have 5:
Kroger - not bad on in-store deals and a break on gas prices
Speedway - swipe it when I gas up but haven't ever cashed in on the points
Giant Eagle - like Kroger, if you live near one with a gas station
Office Depot - gotten some decent deals on business supplies
Sam's Club - gotta pay to become club member, but for me, is well worth it with reduced in-store and gas prices. Business card can be used for personal purchases as well.
K-Mart tried to give me one again yesterday when I was buying a birthday card for my daughter. Not sure I want any more plastic in my wallet. -
-Society-That's great info.

AppleThanks Society.
-
Tobias FünkeI just use the smaller plastic on my keychain for most of those, that way the wallet doesn't fill up.
-
AppleI've never been a fan of the key chain cards.
-
thavoiceCannot say I have ever used them.
Kroger-15 miles from home is the closest
Speedway-45 miles from home is the closest
Giant Eagle--No idea how far that is away.
Office Depot...45 miles from home is closest
Sams Club...same 45 miles away.
Do make it in the neighborhood of those at times but just isnt convenient. Parents have the sams club and we give them a list occassionally.
Kroger one seems decent, but not very convenient at all to go -
THE4RINGZI use my Speedy Rewards Card nearly everyday, and over the years I have cashed in the points and recieved a total of about $200 in free gift cards. I think it is a good deal.

I try to use my card every time I go to Speedway even for beer, (like what DA owes me), which doesn't even accrue any reward points. I've talked with Speedway cashiers and they say they HAVE to get a certain percentage of customers to use their card or else if they don't meet their quota, they get fired. I think that policy sucks.THE4RINGZ;819066 wrote:I use my Speedy Rewards Card nearly everyday, and over the years I have cashed in the points and recieved a total of about $200 in free gift cards. wildcats20I have one for Giant Eagle, Kroger, Finish Line(although I'm not sure what it gets me lol), Pet Supplies Plus, and CVS.
Kroger used to have the best(IMO) gas perks, but have since done away with it. Although at the Turkey Hill here by me, you use your Kroger card and get 3 cents off and if you buy a car wash you get another 20 cents off per gallon. 20 cents off is great when gas isn't $4/gallon. Now I do all of my shopping at Giant Eagle because of it. And I get my 12th bag of dog food free at Pets Supplies Plus. -

you should get periodic coupons...$10 off of purchase 60 or more... $20 off of purchase of 100 dollars or more. You also get a $20 rewards card for every 200 you spend, i believe. -

Well shit, I knew I should have used it for my latest purchase lol -
Fab4RunnerI use my Giant Eagle card but that's about it. I have $.80 off gas right now and will probably use it tomorrow.

queencitybuckeyeWhen we were in Columbus, we used our Giant Eagle card when buying gift cards. We did a remodel to get the house market-ready and bought enough Home Depot cards to get free gas for the entire Summer.

Nice and well played!!!! No doubt it was HER idea to buy the Home Depot cards from Big Bird! Ha!
There have been times when I wish I had stock in Lowes so I could get a little return in the things I've gotten. -
coyotes22GE card. The fuel perks are nice. And they rack up quick, bc that is where we buy all our meat.

thePITmanLast year I purchased a Kohls item worth around $200 and some items from Dick's Sporting Goods worth around $500. I applied for the Kohls card and Dick's card to get 20+% off my first purchases, but I have not used the cards since. I saved a good chunk of money on those purchases!

4cards...I use a couple of mine
Speedway in the AM for coffee (after you purchase 6 the 7th is free) + the speedypoints you earn for other things.
Giant Eagle for whatever I buy & get the fuel perks. -

I have petsmart, borders (not for much longer), big lots, Dicks, Buckeye Corner and Kroger on my keychain. I keep speedway in my wallet because I don't think you can swipe the keychain ones at the pump. At least I haven't figured out how to use the Kroger keychain card that way, and I hate to pay for gas inside. -

I wonder if they couldn't just use their own card and swipe it for people who don't want to. Then they would have 100% customer participation and get the perks. At least until they got fired. -

Last week I tanked up at the Kroger in Vandalia and paid 2.39 a gallon. ( 1.00 off ) WIN! at 32 gallons!
