Belly35Twitter or Facebook ?
I’m thinking of joining a social network but which is best? Twitter or Facebook? Why?
What OC individuals do you have on your Facebook or Twitter? -
wes_mantoothI like twitter better, but I have both. I hate weeding through all the drama and games on fb
-
thavoiceI have FB but only check it once a month.
TWeeter...I only check one person's and that is only until the decision is made. Our AD tweets and supposedly SOON ESPN is going to decide if they are carrying one of our football games this fall.
Oh...I lied...i check out @ilikegirlsdaily every so often from a tip from the OC.
OTher than that.....both overrated. -
gorocks99Twitter and Facebook are pretty different. I use Twitter for news/sports scores/food truck locations, whereas I use Facebook to view family photos and keep in touch with old friends.

Agree. They serve 2 completely different functions for me. Twitter is an information gold mine, and Facebook is a way to keep up w/ friends and family. I like Twitter because you are usually getting the information straight from the source before it hit other media outlets. -
McFly1955Join both, they are so different you can't really compare them.
Facebook --- connect with people/friends and family, check out pics, stalk people.
twitter --- Follow celebs, sports info, etc. --- not as functional as far as connecting with friends and family. -
thedynasty1998Like everyone said, they are completely different. That's like comparing sharebuilder and espn.

wildcats20Facebook is becoming too kiddie for me, but I definitely still use it. It's still great to find old classmates or kids that moved away early in school.
Twitter, or twatter as Fab4 calls it, is great too. Helps get info from around the world and also lets us nobodies interact with celebs/athletes. -
thePITmanI have both.
I consider Facebook far and away the better "social networking" device to connect with friends, and I would recommend this. Just make sure you keep your security settings configured to how you want them.

I consider Twitter a simple mass communication device. That's it. I use this for posting sports updates and final scores. I follow a few people for sports and humor.

swamisezCreate a facebook profile, and link the twitter account to the facebook status.
Twitter is facebook without the profiles. -
redrocketIf you go with facebook let me know so I can add you to my friend list.
-
Midstate01Both. Facebook for keeping up with friends and family. Twitter for sports info, before you'd see it on the news... Which is great.

Get me a minute I have to think about being on any list you have...redrocket;817639 wrote:If you go with facebook let me know so I can add you to my friend list. -
Belly35Who would want Belly on their Friend List?
I am on lots of shit list .............. -
dazedconfusedearly facebook was great. then it got all commercial and started focusing on games/apps and other nonsense that i dont really care about it. i'll check facebook maybe once a day. twitter, on the otherhand, i'm pretty much on the whole day. twitter's great for information straight from the source. twitter gets addicting whereas facebook is more of a tolerance to me

Laley23Maybe Im immune to it, but I havent gotten the stupid FB stuff recently. It was awful for a good stretch about a year ago (maybe less). But it seems to have died down. I havent noticed it at all in at least 6 months.

The games and stuff? I've blocked pretty much all of them. I can't stand seeing how many trees someone planted or how many cows they have. -
Scarlet_BuckeyeTwitter > Facebook (although, as many have previously stated, they are COMPLETELY different).
Twitter is the definition of social media --> staying in connection with social events, friends, news, etc.
Facebook has become too overpopulated with useless posts, such as all the crappy FB games and girls pissing & moaning on there. The only thing I use Facebook for these days is pictures (both creeping friends & family and sharing my life with others).
Other than that, it's Twitter for me. -
hoops23Twitter is way better than Facebook IMO.
Facebook has just become nothing but life drama and idiotic games.
Hardly check Facebook anymore. -
wildcats20Oh and this seems to be a weekly topic on here... lol

Yeah. Whenever I see an ap, I block the ap. Facebook's good for finding out what bizarre drunken thing Mantooth did (both sexually and non-sexually)...not for Farmville updates. -

I have so many of the games and other facebook apps blocked that a new one literally never show up in mine anymore but maybe once every couple of weeks. I have to have at least a hundred of them blocked.
I still miss the days of where you had to have a .edu email to be on it. It was nice to keep all of the trash relegated to myspace, lol
