Has anybody here restored an old car?

KR1245Any of you guys ever done this? Any suggestions? My old man is getting set to retire and my brothers and I are looking to buy him an old Chevy truck.

Can you weld and do you have a welder, air compresser (bigger the better) those two idea are a must -
Scarlet_FeverNo but I once destroyed a fully restored 57 Chevy with a bb gun. So it had to be re-restored. So in a round about way I have helped

I personally cant do a thing other than change a tire and the oil. My uncle has restored a few over the past coouple years, he will be doing the majority of the work.
I've always thought it would be cool to have a one in the family. -

We were looking at a 57 Chevy but I guess my dad loves the mid-late 40's Chevy trucks. -
