Perhaps "Solicitors will have jaw broken." -
bo shemmy3337Problem is it is not your property (unless you own your condo) or you could call the cops on them whenever you see them coming. it is breaking the law if there are signs posted so I would call them regardless to see what the cops say about it.
If you want to get really creative, when they come to the door make sure you have some sort of item at hand and try to sell it to them but make sure you have a good and long sales pitch for say a dirty sock. Maybe they will get the hint. -

To avoid 30 second inconvenience, create 30 minute ordeal. Sounds like a logical decision, and a great use of police resources. -

The idea is to not have them come back many times and no not 30 mins, more like 2 as a normal person should pick up on the sarcasm rather quickly. If they never come back and you can have some fun with it, why not? The issue is not weather or not he should have an issue, he clearly has one. Wrong or right is another discussion and in fact maybe you should start a new thread about it. -

Calling the cops on one won't make other solicitors stop, just that individual one, which could be accomplished with a 5 second "not interested."bo shemmy3337;814886 wrote:The idea is to not have them come back many times
I'm sure the cops will love being called for "sarcasm" purposes. Great use of their time.and no not 30 mins, more like 2 as a normal person should pick up on the sarcasm rather quickly.
What is fun about it?If they never come back and you can have some fun with it, why not?
The issue is that he feels they are inconveniencing him apparently. You're suggesting something that creates much more inconvenience for him.The issue is not weather or not he should have an issue, he clearly has one.

It's a non-issue, and only being made a big deal about because people search out things to whine about. Some college kid knocked on your door and took 10 seconds of your time, and he even tried to make your kid laugh!! #middleclassproblems -
O-TrapEh, I can see this as being along the lines of receiving constant telemarketing calls or getting solicitation email spam. Neither have to be all that intrusive. However, the constant bombardment does cause people to get really worked up over it.
I can see the frustration. People constantly coming to your door wanting your money in one form or another is not a middle class problem at all. It's a problem for anyone who tries to live on the money they have, and gets tired of others always looking for ways to take it. -
Steel Valley Football2kool is likely lives with his mom or in dirty college dorm, so I can understand his opinion. At that age, his biggest concern is having enough ramen noodles on hand to eat after the kegger.

Con_AlmaIs there any type of security in your condo development? Is it simply unlimited access to the units by all?
Condos are high concentration targets for door to door type folk. I can see how it would be more common to receive unwanted knocks in a place like this. -

If you're gonna make that generalization, is it fair to assume you are an overweight, 40 year old grump going through a mid life crisis after realizing his life has amounted to nothing? -

There is no security. It seems like they target our development a lot.Con_Alma;814981 wrote:Is there any type of security in your condo development? Is it simply unlimited access to the units by all?

You can assume whatever you like. Though, you'd be way cooler if you had an answer for me and not just drivel.SportsAndLady;814995 wrote:If you're gonna make that generalization, is it fair to assume you are an overweight, 40 year old grump going through a mid life crisis after realizing his life has amounted to nothing? -

How do you know that it's breaking the law if signs are posted? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would be really surprised if that were true, and if so, constitutional.
Generally, courts think the 1st A is a pretty big deal, and they protect speech, even if it creates a minor hassle for you. -
