Got a new job ... and I need a new computer! Help!

justincredibleGet yourself a 22-24" monitor for a couple hundred bucks if you'll be sitting at a desk most of the time. I've got the 15" MBP and I'd hate it if I didn't have the dual monitor during my 8-5 job.

17" to me is more of a novelty, and something I'm used to. I've had a 17" MB Pro for the past 6 years (currently brand new one) and it would be tough to go back to a 13". -

That's irrelevant when talking about eyesight. But it doesn't matter. Whatever works for ya!
Plus, I've had employees here who freaked when I gave them a monitor instead of a laptop screen, but they would never go back now. You should consider a monitor and keyboard/mouse for you laptop. -

Not bad ideas, I will see how it goes, but it's an easy fix if I can't take the smaller monitor. I will travel a lot too and much of my time is spent on the phone or with clients (so I am not constantly on the computer), so that factored in as well.
