CP is far and away the best for coasters and thats all I do when I go there. Kings Island always had good shows and decent coasters. So when we went to KI, we watched more shows and rode a few rides plus the free water park is a huge bonus.

Going to Disney Land/World, you go there for the "Disney Experience" The themed rides, the shows. Disney isnt a coaster enthusiasts park, but it does have fun rides and the park hotels are nice.

Geauga Lake/Six Flags Ohio had a couple good coasters. The Batman and X Flight are something CP doesnt have. XFlight is now in Kings Island and Batman is at Kings Dominion. Plus the lines were very very short.

I would love to go park hopping to ride coasters. Might have to start that since my boy is tall enough to ride the 48 inch coasters.

When we went to Dollywood it was CRAP. I guess I was expecting something different. I liked Islands of Adventure too. Change of pace with the Spiderman and Harry Potter simulation rides along with some nice roller coasters too.

What day did you go on? I get that people have to work, but you simply cant go Friday-Sunday once HS is out. Try to go in May, or Mon-Thursday. The lines arent long at all for most rides. And for the new rides (Millennium, Maverick, and Top Thrill) it will be around and 1 or 1.5 hours)

I've been to quite a few.. Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens, Kings Island, Geauga Lake, etc..

My favorite would be Cedar Point, bar none.

For anybody who thinks the lines are too long, go during the early hours on a weekday. Especially during school.

We rode the Force back-to-back-to-back in about 25 minutes.. Took us 15 minutes to get on the Maverick and 20 minutes to get on Top Thrill just a few weeks ago.

If you go on a weekend, then yeah, you're going to spend some time in lines, especially if it's a holiday weekend.

However, I've never dealt with overall long lines at CP like I have at Universal/Disney.. The good things there sometimes have waits of 3 hours.

And for the most part, I'd consider Disney and Universal more so theme parks than amusement parks. I think with a kid, those two would be a better choice...

But, if you're going with a bunch of friends CP can't be beat.

It is kinda gay, but i think it is freaking awesome.

No one has ever been to the IX Indoor Amusement Park?

    Cedar Point
    Schlitterbahn
    Geauga Lake

The best time to go to CP is during the week after 4pm on a day it rains in the morning.
The large group busses usually leave at 6pm and if it rains in the morning some other will leave early or not show up at all.

Disney lines are unbearable, they do have that fast-pass thing that can be worked like a science to cut your wait tremendously.

Kings Island is great for kids, the Diamondback and Beast are great rides.

Been to SW/GL, don't remember much from either.

Has anyone seen the new Green Lantern coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain? Thing looks crazy, although I guess it's not that fast at only 37 mph, but the seats flip independently of the car.

Here is a rendering of what it will look like and also a similar one in Sweeden.

swami, I grew up going to Camden Park! I thought the roller coaster was the best. I've since graduated to the bigger parks and Cedar Point is my favorite, followed by King's Island.
  • ManO'War

I actually prefer Kings Island over Ceder Point only because the lines are getting outrageous at Ceder Point.
  • Crimson streak
    Hershey park
    Disney world
    Cedar point

Cedar point is by far the best. Hershey park isn't bad ( even though I hate living in Hershey) but I would never pay the 50 some dollars per ticket. Thank god my girls uncle runs the park so I get in for free lol

I used to go all the time as a kid. My great uncle actually sold the land to the group who built Camden park in the 60's. He lived on the hill overlooking the park.

I dont get when you people are going! I went like 5 weeks ago and the longest line was Millennium at 45 minutes. If anything, over the last 5 years i think they are getting shorter cause you now have 3 HUGE attractions for people. Maverick, Millennium, and Dragster. The longest Ive waited for Raptor over the last 10 years is like 20 minutes.
