The Eagles - who sings it?
-
Steel Valley FootballThe Eagles are a band I like, but aren't in my top 10; maybe not even top 20, but what has always fascinated me about the Eagles is the number of quality singers in the band who can handle the lead vocal and the successful solo careers several members have had.
Without looking it up, post who sings lead on these Eagles songs. Two have multiple answers - not harmony singing, mind you as the Eagles often have 3-4 people singing harmony together, but two people singing lead at different times.
Please post your guesses only, but don't google. I'll post the the answers shortly. If it goes well, I have a couple other bands to do.

Manhattan BuckeyeTake it to the Limit is definitely Meiser, likewise Lyin' Eyes is certainly Frey.

Do it with other bands that don't suck. -

Ouch. I love the Eagles. Such a wide variety of songs/styles. I'd rather see them in concert than Sir Paul.justincredible;809401 wrote:Do it with other bands that don't suck. -

I don't know why I don't like them anymore. I used to as a teenager. -

You're Jeff Lebowski when he's driven back from Jackie Treehorn's mansion - "Oh c'mon I hate the Eagles."
I think they are fine, taking in moderation, like the Grateful Dead. -
Steel Valley FootballNice Curly J!

SVFB and Curly J are going to kick me out of their taxi. -
Steel Valley FootballThe history of West Coast country rock is very interesting to me as a music fan w Eagles partially coming from Poco, the band who in part inspired Stillwater in Almost famous btw, and the revolving members from Poco to the Eagles, to the Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Graham Parsons, Emmy Lou, etc.
I've got another music post coming, different format. Just need to find a minute. -

I laughed cuz I expected this eventually. Earlier and more of it, tho.
The problem is finding bands you know who sings it plus that have multiple singers. I was gonna do the Temptations at some point. -
SpeedofsandI'm a long time Eagles fan. Joe Walsh is awesome. An ex gf of mine used to see him play at Kent St. bars before he got famous. How many of you knew that Joe Walsh is now Ringo Starr's brother-in-law?
Don Felder and Bernie Leadon went to high school in Gainesville, Florida. Bernie's brother Tom was in Tom Petty's band 'The Epics' in Gainesville at the same time. This was before my time, I'd have loved to see the jam sessions in that garage I've heard about from my older Gator friends.
Stephen Stills was also in Felder's band in Gainesville.
true cool story -

How many singers are their in Rush? Getty Lee and ....? There's only three members total. It would make for a very short thread.Curly J;809493 wrote:...maybe do Rush next !!! -

I didn't know he was related to Ringo. Interesting.
Did you know that although he was born in Kansas he was raised in Cleveland and attended Kent State for a while? -
