Virginia Tough Mudder - Wounded Warrior Project

  • justincredible
Just signed up for this event in October. It's probably going to kill me so Mike Clark will be taking over when I die. Either way, help me help out the Wounded Warrior Project by donating a few bills to the cause.

Oh yeah. Definitely keep me in the loop on this I will certainty donate. My Lacrosse team plays in a showcase every year which supports the wounded warrior project. The work they do is nothing less than amazing.

Your freakin' nuts man !!! The Jarhead Wife said Boot Camp was enough for her. We'll be donating for the cause !!!

edit: Donation has been made !!! (it didn't post The Wifes' name on the Donation, but like all men I had to get her approval first)

Tough Mudders are fun as hell.

Participated in the event last year and my wife and I were thinking about doing it this year as well. We both have races a few weeks before so we're undecided. My hat is off to you though, it's a tough but fun event and it's for a great cause. We will be making a donation in your name.

    Awesome!

Best of luck and please share your experience.

Did you do the one in VA?

I'm really looking forward to it, even though it's going to kick my ass. We've got a group of guys from college getting together for it. Renting a cabin for the weekend, should be a great time.

Word of advice: Prepare yourself to be cold as fuck.

There was an ice bath, a snow hill thing, and a dude spraying you with a fire hose while you were trying to run up a hill at the Vermont one. You will be wet and cold as fuck.

No, I did the one in NJ. VA site is new this year, I believe. If I do end up participating it'll most likely be the one in NJ again. Last year I got together with a few of my buddies from ROTC and OSU. One of my buddies didn't make it to the end due to hypothermia. It was tough but a lot of fun. We'll decide this week what we're going to do.

Like I said, cold as fuck.

There is another one in Indiana in November. Not sure I could handle it twice in a month.
  • JerseyBuck
How long do you usually go between races or events like this?

You will be hooked. These, the Warrior Dash, Original Mud Run, etc, etc are fun as hell.
