Auction Kings?thavoice;876546 wrote:Yeah...I dont care what the 'value' or appraisel is worth. I think on Pawn stars once I saw them say how much one of the items actuallly sold for.
There is another show.......new one...where it is an actual auction of the items. People, and pawn shops, will bring in stuff to sell at the auction. It is almost like a culmination of alot of the other shows. Sometimes they pick stuff, sometimes someone brings it up..but it is all for the auctions they hold. They always ask how much they wanna get, then an appraiser comes in and gives his two cents, and then they auction it off. A Delorian replica of the one in the movie was sold for like 55K I think.
Not a bad show. But the one thing...they dont say how much THEIR take is. Pawn stars always tell the people that the auction house takes 40% of what it sells for, plus a fee to be in the show. -
sportchamppsnow theres gonna be storage wars dallas. they also did a few appraisels to see who was the best at valuing items but of course the dbag dave ruined it by googleing the answer.

thavoicebrandi looked good last night.
Two new eps last night.....eh.....becoming just a pissing war between jarrod and dave.
Darrell said he just got divorced....but has a new woman in his life. Wonder if the fame of the show allowed him to 'trade up' in the woman dept. -

Brandi looks good every show to me. She is one of those broads who could wear a hoodie and sweat pants and still be eye candy. As for Jarrod I don't know about last night because I haven't watched it yet but he has little to no chance against Dave. Dave could buy and sell their store like it was nothing.thavoice;887407 wrote:brandi looked good last night.

Yeah...she always looks good. Last night it was a pissing contest. Getting to be more drama than anything. Darrel doesnt do much anymore, the old man looks for relics, and jarrod and dave go at it and bid eachother up. Pretty much is how the show is goin.bigdaddy2003;887469 wrote:Brandi looks good every show to me. She is one of those broads who could wear a hoodie and sweat pants and still be eye candy. bigdaddy2003It's a pretty simple show but for some reason I'm just really entertained by it.

Essentially a poor man's antique road show.bigdaddy2003;887683 wrote:It's a pretty simple show but for some reason I'm just really entertained by it.
Saw a show the other day where Darryl (?) found some baseball cards....the guy at the card shop was throwing out ridiculous numbers (i think) like "David Ortiz...$80". C'mon, even for a rookie card? -

I can't describe why I like the show so much but I do. It's just entertaining to me. I believe part of it is real but a lot of is staged. As a person who used to collect cards I know the business has changed. A person's rookie card has always been the most valuable outside of special cards though.gut;887824 wrote:Essentially a poor man's antique road show.

bigdaddy2003I actually like Dave. When I first started watching it I thought to myself damn this cat is an asshole but I really respect how good he is at what he does and I'm starting to like him. Jarrod annoys me by thinking he is any real competition to Dave and by thinking he is such a hard ass. Plus it's irritating that Brandi is with him.
