Silver Star Merchandising Ltd., an Irving-based company launched last year by the family of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones , has signed a 10-year-deal to be the exclusive maker and distributor of off-field jerseys, hats and other athletic-themed apparel for the University of Southern California.
Silver Star Merchandising is in talks with other schools, including Ohio State, about similar deals. Jones declined to give details on those talks.

Dallas had been in discussions for a similar arrangement with The Ohio State University, according to SportsBusiness Daily, and the Cowboys have also worked in tandem with the New York Yankees to create a joint hospitality program in the last few years.
