Anybody play Brink yet?

  • BORIStheCrusher
I was about to buy this today and the guy at Gamestop pretty much talked me out of it. It was a toss up between that and LA Noire so I got that instead. Brink looked sweet from the commercials and online videos, but he said it was awful and quit playing after 20 min and I should save my $60. Just wondering if anybody else has played this and what your thoughts were.

I thought brink looked shitty from the vids. Will not get.

From what I've read, it's hit or miss. Some people love it and some people hated it.

It looked "ok" to me, but "ok" doesn't warrant a $60 purchase...

I went with LA Noire and this game is legit.

I was thinking about picking this up tomorrow but I guess not. Any recommendations on what to get? Or maybe a game that comes out within the next month or so.

I've started playing L.A. Noire and it's pretty good so far. Also Mortal Kombat is awesome.

Brink is good, for what it is.

I'm slightly disappointed in it since it took so long to come out, and was hyped a lot.

It is fun if you like teamwork (not just team deathmatch) because every map you play is all objective based....For example, everyone in the first part is trying to destroy a wall, while the other team is defending it...Once it is destroyed, the next objective is to escort someone through the building (which means stay close to them and defend them, medic needs to heal them if they get shot down), while the other team is trying to stop the escort mission.

I personally like it a lot. The single player is absolutely horrible -- DO NOT BOTHER IF YOU LIKE SINGLE PLAYER AT ALL, it is complete garbage. It is the same as the multiplayer, but with bots, and they are the worst bots you could possibly imagine.

I also bought LA Noire, and if I had to choose 1 game, it would definitely be LA Noire, but once I beat that in the next couple weeks, I will be back into Brink.

@Rotinaj, Go with LA Noire, or wait for Infamous 2...

A dude on the gaming site I write for basically said that. It's a fun multiplayer game with team objectives and good level design, so if that's what you want, you'll be happy. If you want something else, don't look there.

    Brink is buggy as hell.
