Wow....Season Finale of the Office sucked pretty bad
-
Ty WebbThey didn't even name the new boss....which was supposed to be the point of the whole episode
I swear to god if it ends up being Darryl...I will never watch it again -
sherm03Why would they name the new boss in the season finale? They want to keep people in suspense until next season.
I thought it had it's moments, but overall I didn't laugh a bunch at this episode. -

Umm...because they said in every promo that they were going to name the new boss
I am hearing it's going to be Spader or Gervais -

No...they said they were searching for a new boss. I never once heard that they would name the boss tonight, and didn't expect them to at all. -
Ty WebbOk......guess you didn't listen very well
Someone on Twitter said there are reports going around they are going to offer Jerry Seinfield $5 million an episode -

Guess you just heard things you wanted to...because from that promo that ran since last week, I never assumed they would reveal the choice tonight. -
friendfromlowryI don't know -- a lot of people have abandoned The Office over the last few seasons, and I've tried to hang in there. But even I can't deny that the story lines are getting extremely redundant. It seems like we've suspecting Dwight as a possible branch manager for a long time now. It's like the possibility that just won't die. I guess I'd like to see them give it to Darryl or Andy.
But I thought generally season finales were suppose to end a high, exciting note -- something to keep you anxiously awaiting until next season? I could have done without watching that episode (since it wasn't that funny anyways) and just known that there still isn't a manager, it's currently between Dwight, Andy, Darryl and a couple other outside yahoos, and Gabe got sent back to Florida. THAT was the season finale??? And we're suppose to believe this show isn't dieing?
BTW, if Gervais is the new manager, I will never watch another episode again. Can't stand that guy. -
Ty WebbJust Googled "why didnt they name the new office boss" and this thread was the first thing that came up

atomica600I thought that Spader's character seemed like the best of the bunch. I agree though, I thought this episode was a pretty big letdown.

That's because everyone else knew that they weren't naming the new boss tonight. You seem to be the only one who was expecting differently. -
Little DannySince the show jumped the shark years ago, they should have brought in Henry Winkler as the new manager. Now that would have been funny.
-
wes_mantoothThis show has a better writing than the last couple of seasons of the office...

j_crazyThought this was one of the worst episodes ever. Fucking sucks.
-
mucalum49Not the best finale ever. I only really LOL'd when Warren Buffett was interviewing for the manager job.

Indeed, would be fitting - and it would be indicative of the complete lack of subtlety of the show's humor now. In the old days they would have brought in Richard Belzer.
