Also, "free speech" isn't carte blanche to be a jerk--posting something like that about your math teacher is definitely on the line as to what a school can regulate. It certainly is something an employer would fire over.
You can't draw an anology between a student and an employee at will. One serves at their own pleasure, the other is compelled to do so by state law.

Yea, I'm fairly certain it wasn't the Republicans who want these programs... I do not understand how Americans can be so blind. We are spending billions on programs like this, not to mention aid to places like Pakistan who hates us and harbors terrorists. So we are in debt, yet keep spending to help OTHER countries. STUPID!

If you yourself posted on a public forum that you would like your boss to be murdered by bin laden, wouldnt you be called to the carpet to answer for your publicly made comments? As a matter of fact, an employee here was called to the boss when they made comments about her dislike for fellow employees on facebook. No physical or verbal threats were made, just crude language and this person was reprimanded and placed on probation. As much as I dont like the decision by the school district, a bit over the top. In school suspension or saturday school would have sufficed, they have the right to act on that comment. If you want to play the what if game, what if another student agreed and took upon themselves to carry out the act?
Carry out the act of having a dead person kill someone? Unlikely.

Same could be said for the more than trillion dollars we've spent the last decade bombing and occupying places half the world away. And you'd be surprised at how small the amount of foreign aid we give is. We could get rid of all of it and it wouldn't have any results in bringing down the deficit.

It would have to bring down the deficit, no matter how small it is. But beyond that, no kidding our ridiculous war is costing more trillions, I don't think we should be there either. Some retaliation strikes at the beginning for awhile, sure, but 10 years? Hell no.

You do understand that what I typed meant that another person would carry out the act on behalf of this now dead person, correct? If that isnt clear enough, try remedial English!
