Anyone from Chicago? A strip club question (a.k.a. a classy thread)
-
BigAppleBuckeyeHeaded to Chicago for a bachelor party, going to a Cubs game, hitting the beach, steak house (I want Gibsons, but we may go another route), etc. Anyway, I hear the strip clubs in Chicago SUCK and you can't touch the dancers, but I hear that just outside the city they are decent.
Can any locals point me in the right direction? Trying to help the best man find a good spot. Would prefer a combo of attractive girls, somewhat close to Chicago, and liberal bouncers (wink wink). -
thavoiceWhen we went there for my brother's graduation from Navy boot camp there were bunch of signs for Baby Dolls, but I never went.
-
thavoicemaybe places a little bit north.....closer to the Navy base Great Lakes might be more what you ar elooking for...but I have no clue.

gorocks99Can't help you with the strip clubs, never been to one here. Just drink as much Old Style as you can at Wrigley.

sportchamppsi know we went to one in the city and a jager bomb was 30$

Fred FlintstoneIf you are willing to drive a little bit check out The Sugar Shack in Lake Geneva, WI.

said_aouitaYa going to a night game at Wrigley? Consider going to the Cubby bear afterwards.
Also- Ya gotta get Giordanos pizza.

krambmanDon't do Giordanos. Giordanos is for tourists. Do Gino's East. It's the original Chicago deep dish pizza (although if you've never had Chicago pizza before you probably won't like, being that you're a New Yorker and all). Chicago pizza is more like a casserole than a pizza.
Also, CLEAN OUT YOUR INBOX! I tried sending you a message but it said your inbox was full. -
gorocks99Gino's East is very good, in my mind Lou Malnati's is great. Hot Doug's is an absolute must if you have a couple hours to kill.

Thanks for the heads up krambman, I will do that now! PS, I have been to Gino's East and I HATED IT, and to this day it is my sole representative of Chicago pizza, and a bad one. However, this time around we are hitting Lou Malnati's.
So my inspiration for this post was more for the strip clubs, but hell, might as well open it up to other ideas. As of now, this is our weekend, what do you guys think? Feel free to add or revise:
THURSDAY, JULY 21: Land in Chicago, bar hop in the Gold Coast neighborhood, more laid back night with no definitive plans
FRIDAY, JULY 22: Day game at Wrigley, followed by drunken idiocy at the bars in Wrigleyville
SATURDAY, JULY 23: Spend the day chilling at North Beach, dinner at Gibsons (or now more likely Hugo's), Strip Club (need help here!!!!)
SUNDAY, JULY 24: Lou Malnati's pizza, fly back to NYC

Can you tell me more about it? How far from Chicago (We may rent a limo)? -
gorocks99Can't speak to the club, but Lake Geneva is about 75 miles north of Chicago.

I haven't been there for years but it was owned by a former Playmate and the women there were incredible. Not sure how much it has changed since then. -
