TV Show Cancellations
-
se-alumSome of my favorites got axed.
Chicago Code and Detroit 1-8-7 are the two I most unhappy about being canceled.
Also liked Off the Map and Mad Love.
America's Most Wanted is gone after 23 seasons.

McFly1955I'm sad about The Event, but saw it coming from a mile away due to the poor ratings it has had all year....
tvbythenumbers.com
That's the best site for checking out what is expected to be canceled all throughout the season... -
wildcats20Law and Order: LA wasn't cancelled, but they canned Skeet Ulrich in the first episode this season. Moved the older Hispanic(name has escaped me) guy who was an ADA back to detective. I actually like this move, Skeet bothered me.

bigkahuna187 was an awesome show. Probably the first show that I HAD to watch religiously since That 70s Show. I mean besides Family Guy, South Park, and the other "Adult" Cartoons.
-
Fab1bJust broke the news to my girl that Lie to Me and The Good Guys were on that list, she really liked both of them.

I'm highly disappointed, but probably should've saw it coming after the way the season ended. -

Yeah, still one of the rare shows I watched on tv. I loved how they used Detroit as a character. -

From what I saw they've actually not renewed it for next season. So for time being this will be the final season. -
j_crazyI love Chicago code. Pissed it got axed

Interesting. I kind of like the way it's been going. -
brutus161Pretty pissed about The Defenders. My wife and I loved that show.

Sucks that lie to me got cancelled.
Same with human target. -
Gardens35Hope to see America's Most Wanted picked up as a weekly by another network.

Little DannyDamn I liked Detroit 187. There were great characer's on the show and the cast had great chemistry. To me, it was like watching 2-3 of my old favorite shows rolled up into one based on who was in the cast (Sopranos, NYPD Blue, Life on Mars). The finale was great with Imperoli's character whacking that Russian mob guy. I really liked the hot young latina on the show. Hope she lands on her feet where we can see more of her.

bigdaddy2003I like the way Law and Order LA is going although I didn't mind Skeet. I wonder why he was canned.
I could see The Event being canned. I just didn't find it that good. I hated how it was pawned off as being the "child" of Lost and 24. It was no where near the show Lost was. I assume 24 was much better as well. -
O-TrapI loved Lie to Me. Not a big TV watcher, though. Last time I was upset about a show getting axes was Arrested Development.
I was ready to hunt someone down when I heard about that one. -

+ eleventy billion. I was in college when Arrested Developement got canned and pretty much everyone I knew was pissed off about that, including myself. One of the greatest shows ever that most people probably have never seen.O-Trap;772283 wrote:I loved Lie to Me. Not a big TV watcher, though. Sucks. I like the move with the ADA going back to being a detective. I guess it's not "gritty" enough like SVU. -

Family Guy is an insult to comedy. -

You lose all credibility with the bolded part. -

Oh gawd don't remind me. That was a true tragedy.O-Trap;772283 wrote:I loved Lie to Me. Not a big TV watcher, though. Last time I was upset about a show getting axes was Arrested Development.

The first episode I watched was funny. The rest might as well have been a rerun of that first episode.

I really don't watch that much TV... mostly Sports.
I'm not trying to rationalize it at all, but I think I liked the show so much because my house was the house that everyone hung out at in high school, and me and my buddies did some stupid shit too. We smoked a lot of pot too.
It sounds dumb, but the show reminded me a lot of my and my friends (as it was happening because the show went of in like 05 didn't it?)
