Survivor Finale
-
Scarlet_BuckeyeAll I can say is that was one of the most satisfying victories in reality TV! Congratulations Boston Rob!!!!!
-
The AnswerAgree....Rob played a near perfect game and clearly deserved to win. Was glad to see that the jury got it right this time.

ksig489Boston Rob = GOAT
Its about time someone won because they dominated the game rather than just being the one who people disliked the least. It still kills me that Cerie has won twice without ever making a decision or doing anything in any way to impact the game. -
OneBuckeyeThe specialist pissed me off. He could have made it interesting if he said to the jury what he said at the reunion and played his whole schitk off like he meant to do it. They need to stop having these air head girls on the show who can't wash a pot without someone telling them to. Makes for terrible TV. Anyways, who will be the 2 survivor vets looking for redemption on next season?

Scarlet_Buckeye"Boston" Rob played a damn near perfect game. I was so happy he won. Very deserving. I've said a couple times in the past that Russell Hantz is the best Survivor player ever. Well, I'm willing to change that statement... Rob Mariano is the best Survivor player ever.
I do have to question, however, if this season as "set up" for Rob to win. I mean, the guy has been on the show FOUR TIMES now... he had exactly what he needed to win... a younger tribe right from the get go who blindly followed him. They gave him one of the youngest girls in Survivor history to be his pawn... the also threw him Phillip - the guy that everyone hates. It was a no brainer! IF Rob made it to the Final 3 with those two, there was no way he could lose. They also gave him a workhouse (Grant) to do all his dirty work. If you really think about it, everything was setup flawlessly for Rob. He couldn't have asked to be put into a better situation than he was.

Cerie = worst. Survivor. ever. She was worthless. As you mentioned, she never lifted a finger or did a damn thing. -

I have to imagine that at least one of them is Matt (the guy who spent a record 27 or 29 days on Redemption Island). -
ksig489I hope Matt doesnt come back. I dont think I can stand another 10+ episodes of a grown man crying and talking about God non-stop. He is enough to make a religious person want to stop going to church.
And I meant Sandra, not Cerie...but both equally as worthless.
After this season, I dont think Russell is even in the top 5 all time. I did before, but you have to realize his 2md season was filmed before his first aired, so the all-stars really had no idea who he was and how he played.
My top 10
1. Boston Rob
2. Richard Hatch
3. Parvati Shallow
4. Ethan Zohn
5. Colby Donaldson(made 1 dumb decision and cost him the game)
6. Todd Herzog
7. Russell Hantz
8. Amanda Kimmell
9. Tom Westman
10. Ozzy Lusth -
power iRob should have played a perfect game. He got four chances to figure it out.

ksig489I would think it would be progressively harder to win as you will have a target on your back from the start. I understand the thought that it seemed like he was set up to win, but that is really because of how well he manipulated his tribe. I think it would have been a little harder in the other tribe, but he would have done what Russell didn't and identified Ralph as the biggest threat to his immediate survival. Ralph clearly did not want one of the Stars to win as he went after Russell from day one and also tried to get Rob out as soon as he could, even casting a vote for crazy Phil at t he end (which was the only non-Rob vote if I read correctly).
Rob played the game with the idea that whoever was the biggest threat at that moment was the one to go...he never let anyone hang around. -
GoPensRob deserved to win but before you heap too much praise on him, the other 17 contestants were probably the dumbest in Survivor history--especially the ones in his tribe.
