You should not be taking your mother to Golden Corral for Mothers Day

The pressure he released had to be in the three digit range of PSI. My post blast investigation showed evidence that he went "backboard" in the stall (i.e. used a bit of the tile wall behind the seat). His "get back into the game" line wasn't said to anyone in particular; he was looking at himself in the mirror when he said it. Another observation I vividly recall - his wiping took the form of only one tear off from the roll. Now I don't know about anyone else, but a spilled bowl of chili requires a lot more than one Kleenex to resolve matters, if you know what I mean. I therefore just assumed that he had logistical challenges due to girth that wouldn't allow a full rescue operation. And he was therefore at peace with Fruit of the Looms that had become radioactive.

And yes, the stench he left was capable of melting the tiles off othe wall and making young children cry.

We have a Winner!!! This has to be the best #18 post anyone has ever had.

I haven't been here too long, but it may be THE best I've ever read.

Bookbag + garbage bag + steaks on the buffett = a college friend's lunch for a week.

I ate at GC for lunch today. Had an interview in Fort Wayne....only saw one big fat guy there. Lots of old people. I don't know why you all say the food is so bad. i had a couple different kinds of salads-some veggies and some chicken......doesn't seem like I would get that fat over that.

^ No he was quite skinny...

That's what you had. That's not what the whales have.

I like the food there. I eat there a couple of times a month usually and its not too bad at all. I typically eat pretty healthy there but yeah.......i could see alot of huge people loving that place. Typically on the sunday lunch crowd....wow..pretty big.

i once had a gun in my hand...didn't shoot anybody. Doesn't seem like guns can kill people..

I've been to GC quite a lot, not very often anymore though. The foods alright, it's not exactly cheap but pretty decent most times. There do seem to be a high number of fatties, but I think that's just this area and our country. You could go into most restaurants and find a high number of overweight people.

People keep saying that GC's food isnt exactly cheap. WTF are you all talking about? For $10 you get an all u can eat salad bar, ribs, meats, veggies, etc.... It costs me $5 to eat lunch at McDonalds (and that isnt all u can eat).
  • tk421
Well, yeah if you are going to eat all you can. That's part of the problem. :)

Please don't forget to consider the person who just handled that serving spoon before you. Imagine his habits in the restroom; observe him itching his sweaty back; watch for him to adjust his sack when thing get a little "gamey" down there. Now think about where your hand goes after it's let go of the same spoon handle our friend left his mark on. Where does it go? You guessed it...it goes right to that buttered roll and then right up to your mouth. Think about what you may ingest in a situation like that. Then say with a straight face that all-you-can-eats are the right way to go.

Ive never said they are. Im also thinking how many ppl sneeze and cough over the buffet, as they walk though. A sneeze guard above a buffet doesnt exactly make this sanitary.

And food prepared in a kitchen and brought to your table hasn't been coughed/spit/drooled all over? If people were so worried about germs, no one would ever go out to eat.

There are 20 times more ppl in direct contact with food on a buffet. I'm not as concerned with kitchen help, as I am dirty, sweaty stinky people.

Hopefully you're not touching the food on your plate with your hands if you're so worried about the end of the handle being touched by the previous person.

To go back to the original point, I don't _take_ my mother anywhere for Mother's Day. I ask her where she wants to go and I pay for it. If she wanted to go to GC, then dammit, we're going to GC. It's her day, her choice. No objections to me.

No wonder some of you have to make such a performance for Mother's Day because you're such uppity pricks the rest of the year you still feel the need to take her where YOU want to go and earn some brownie points.

I'm really not bothered by that too much but I just don't think the food on most buffets is good enough for the price. Most of them end up costing at least $10 and for that I can go get a good plate of food at any number of other places that will taste better and fill me up just fine.

Good point Sykotyk. Although I doubt my mom would ever want to go to Golden Corral for mothers day.

who gives a fuck.....if your mom wants GC or if it's what you can afford fuckin' go. There are people who don't have their mom, people who have to visit their mom in a damn nursing home, and you guys are hating on people that choose to go to a place you don't like....

The affordability thing isn't a good argument since GC is not cheap. At all.

I'm not a fan of GC, but I'm curious where you go for dinner under $10.00.
