Euthanasia Roller Coaster?

  • tcarrier32
It's still just in the concept phase, but this roller coaster is designed to take the rider on a journey from euphoria, to thrill, and eventually death.

Essentially, the coaster begins with a huge first drop and seven specially designed inversions which euthanize the rider. The G forces cause the rider to lose consciousness, and eventually causes death by cerebral hypoxia.

The creator said it could be used to humanely execute those who have received the death penalty as well. Pretty wild. Think it will ever be implemented?

It's ridiculous anyone would use a fucking rollercoaster to do the same thing that nitrous oxide does.

This. The thing could be a great tourist attraction for some struggling midwest community.

"Look here, kids! If you're bad...we'll be coming back to drop you off for good!"

Why would anyone want to waste money in making such a roller coaster?

That pic of the coaster has now joined the revolving door of desktop pics on my work computer. So at least it's accomplished something!

Ha ha. Your comment seems a little insensitive. But maybe we could just use midgets to test it...instead of lab rats. You know, to make sure PETA doesn't get involved and ruin the whole thing.

I just want to know where it will be built.

Just don't build it in South Bend or we'll have a mass genocide after every football season.

I'm not fully aware of the of effects that nitrous oxide has on the human brain. Did you check out either of the links? There is much more involved than just killing someone, the rider is supposed to experience a wide variety of emotions before they pass on. I know it can cause euphoria, but does one get the feeling of going 100mph (the thrill mentioned in the article) while using Nitrous?

well it hasn't been built yet, but i am sure there are plenty of people willing to pay to go out in this fashion. It's not nearly as exciting as what Dr. Kevorkian did, and he got patients.

Would be a heck of a dare to see if you could survive.

I wonder if they require seat belts and keeping your hands inside the car at all times.

Maybe throw in a barebecue pit at the end and you can even come out cremated!

    clever girl.

A pretty sharp ax or guillotine historically worked well for quite some time. Why would anyone with a brain fund or back this absurd waste of money/resources?

By the way, why exactly are we looking for humane ways to execute people on death row? If one is on death row, more than likely that person murdered at least one person rather inhumanely.

some would say that it is not our duty as humans to decide the ways in which people die. Just because Person A has no regard for human life, does not mean that we should disregard his. I understand where you are coming from, but it is sick and disgusting to wish a painful death upon someone.

Let me clarify something else, there is nothing in the article that says this will ever become anything more than just a concept. However, if you don't understand why someone might want to die under relatively "fun" or "enjoyable" conditions rather than in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors, then I question your sincerity.
